From a life insurance point of view are you still classed as a smoker, If you have give up the cigs and are now vaping?

There was a post on here several months ago from someone who, when asked by the insurance person was told that s(he) would now be classed as a 'non smoker'. Sorry can't be more specific, and I assume it will vary between insurance companies.

You would need to check with your own insurance company canfordsome do still class you as a smoker if you are nicotine dependent, even using patches etc

I think for most insurance companies you have to have been at least 12 months without a ciggy before you are classed as non smoker- as for ecigs I haven't a clue
