(I posted this on UKV, but as the Drip Shields are popular over here I thought a repost was warranted...)
When I got my first Empire Drip Shield, I noted the blurb that came with it claimed it would increase atty life. I therefore have kept a record...
The result - an average of approximately 60ml of juice through each LOW RES 901 atty. Evidence of increased life I'd say?
I have a theory that the Apex Ultra series RES has the same effect - it should have the general effect of cooling the atty - but so far I've only run one 1.5 ohm Cisco 306 through it - that lasted about 55ml...

I'm a huge fan of the Drip Shields as you know Prof, though I'll be shallow and admit it's more from the cosmetic aspect, than the functionality that I love them so much. But, it's good to know that they do also do what they claim to in improving atomiser longevity - so thank you for doing the research. We just need to twist a UK supplier's arm to stock them now!

Sounds interesting... of course as I wasn't around for the group buy of the drip shields and can't seem to order them from the website for delivery to the UK (hang the expense), I really wouldn't know

I'll PM you Keith's alternative email address Tim, you might have more luck with that . . . . although I did find it took him a few days to pick messages up initially and respond.
But once you're in his 'system' it's all good.
