I know that people will throw their hands up in horror but I have found a way to get the true tobacco taste. In fact one of my guinea pigs said it was so like a real cigarette it needs a filter tip rather than a drip tip. What did I do :-
Steeped fire cured tobacco as Frogster showed us then mixed it at 10% with the usual nic juice ,pg,and vg
The inhale gives slight taste from the mix but throat hit comes at once then the exhale from the nose gives the true memory of what I enjoyed a ciggy for.
I know that some people if not most would rather keep to custard or fruit flavours but to a die hard smoker this is the mix for me. I hope that the two who tried it will join this discussion and give their views but if not then I will carry on alone

On the grounds of trying a sample that Ron very kindly sent me after I had shown interest, I have decided to go back to this method for a while and ordered rather a large lump of the very same tobacco with Ron.
My attempts from the very first batch I bought some months back were destroyed by water getting into the mix during the second cooking, which totally put me off the idea again, but Rons sample was divine, very tobacco like on the exhale which is all I was expecting, to also detect one or two extra flavours was a bonus.
Other tobacco juices steeped this way have often tasted like Hay, perhaps that was down to lack of steeping, armed with the correct tools this time, I'm looking forward to doing it all again, and there is no need to bastardise the results with other flavours, unless you feel the need. I suspect that I may add some hazelnut or walnut as Im liking the american blends currently.

I am of the same mind Ron and do pretty much the same thing myself. I buy bulk dekang 100% PG liquid stronger than I would use and dilute it with VG, also adding about 10% of my tobacco steep. I end up with about a 70/30 mix which I really enjoy with that ciggie taste to it, can gunk the coils/wicks a bit quicker though.

It makes me wonder how many chemicals you are getting from steeping tobacco leaves. I can't believe that you won't be getting extra nasties.
