I received this email today, supposedly from Paypal:- Dear (OneDay) , PayPal Resolution Center: Your account is limited. (Your case ID for this reason is PP-0083949810) PayPal is constantly working to ensure security by regularly screening the accounts in our system. We recently reviewed your account, and we need more information to help us provide you with secure service. Untill we can collect this information, your access to sensitive account features will be limited. We would like to restore your access as soon as possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience. This is done for your protection only you, the recipient of this email can take the next step in the remove limitation process. Why is my account access limited? Jun 07, 2013: We recently determined that different multiple login attempts have been made on your PayPal account. Because protecting the security of your account is our primary concern, we have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features. We understand that this may be an inconvenience but please understand that this temporary limitation is for your protection. (Your case ID for this reason is PP-0083949810.) How can I restore my account access? Please scan these following documents, attach and forward them to security@paypal-identity-check.com : - A clear copy of your Passport, Photographic Drivers Licence or I.D. Card (both sides). - A clear copy of both sides of the credit/debit card on your paypal profile. - A clear copy of a recent bank statement on which your name and address are clearly visible. Completing all of the checklist items will automatically restore your account access. Thank you for using PayPal! The PayPal an eBay Company I guess if the scammers send out thousands of these emails a small percentage of people will panic and send the information asked for, but as always they will be the most vulnerable and it just makes my blood boil

I presume you've already emailed it to Paypal Phishing? I hate these scams too, there's always someone who'll fall for it >

Yes, i've had them too, and from ebay, amazon, banks etc, all asking for personal details. Makes my blood boil because there are some who will panic and follow it through I've had scams from Barclays, Halifax etc etc saying that there's been unauthorised activity on my account and they need to check my all details, if i don't respond my account will be closed, i think some people would have fallen for that one.

You think they would grasp basic grammar first would'nt you?,
"The PayPal an eBay Company" - WTF.
I wish I'd get one. Email bomb programs are easy to find.

On a similar theme, this is from the BBC website today... www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22598028A bit like treating all other road users as 'idiots'... assume every email is suspicious, especially if purporting to be from financial sites. Never, ever, ever click on links in these emails... always log into the sites directly, any genuine messages will be there, and if not, you'll know the email was fake. Stay safe!

I rarely if ever get stuff like that thankfully. My email account is with Virgin media, and very little rubbish like that gets through to my inbox.
