After reading and you tubing some recipes, some people are using up to 45% flavouring to there mixes, is this safe to do or is it just a waste of flavouring or does it really give your juice that extra taste.

Depends on how strong the flavouring is, I go up to 25% and that's pretty potent, 40% seems too high to me.

I think you'll likely need to shave your tongue with 45% flavouring ... 35% is the max I've gone to

I used to start all my mixes at 15% flavouring, after some experimentation, I discovered most of them actually taste better at lower concentrations rather than higher. It does depend on the flavour being used, but I suspect that sometimes the more you add the less flavour you get as an end result. I've never heard of good results from anything over 30% and even that is rare. At the end of the day though .... experiment, do 2ml samples to test, until you get it right (remember that steeping can make a huge difference to flavour too )

I think it depends on your taste buds. Mine are dreadful and if I go below 25% in most recipes I can hardly taste anything. Never been brave enough to go higher yet. As I gain experience I will try it. I have always thought that my beloved GVC is a high percentage flavour purely because I can taste it!

Got a couple of 2ml sample bottles here, think I will give it a try at 40% with my favourite fruit punch from dec vapours and will let you know in a few weeks once its steeped a bit what its like.

I've gone that high on some CCW flavours Canford, just used them as a neat dilution with my Nicotine Base . . . as some of them are quite weak to my taste.
But by and large between 20 - 25% is adequate for me and I consider my taste buds to be pretty poor.

I try not to go higher than 20%. And yes, this is a limit I'm imposing on myself for safety reasons. (Specifically: as far as I can see, the potential risks of vaping the chemicals contained in flavourings are much more of an "unknown factor" than the seemingly very minimal risk of vaping PG and VG.)

I've been wondering about flavour %'s too. What got me thinking was, Pipe sauce from lf is 95%vg so that means only 5% flavour, other juices at 90% vg mean only 10% flavour yet you see recipes at well over that.

A percentage of the flavouring could also be suspended in VG Lardarse, so it's not necessarily so . . .

But as Perps says, the fact that it's 95% VG doesn't mean there's only 5% flavour in it. There's probably much more flavour in it than that. In general, the PG/VG ratio of a liquid has no bearing on the percentage of flavouring it contains.
