I've got a brass centre post that is starting to look a bit discoloured. Anyone got any hints or tips on how to get it back to top condition?
Thanks

I just use isopropyl for cleaning all contacts.

Brasso . . . though you'd have to be really scrupulous to get any remnants off as it'll affect your contact otherwise Chrisss. That's part of the nature of brass, it does discolour.
Robby's probably the chap to advise you best though . . . .

Perpy isn't far off, some brasso on a cotton bud and then a couple more cotton buds to remove it again is a decent way of cleaning them. Some lighter fuel on a cotton bud will do an adequate job Or if you have it then isopropyl as romelee suggested is very good.

White vinegar should do just as good a job as brasso
