I battled most of the night at the LSE meet with the tiny juice filler hole bung on my RSST....I must have dropped it, lost it & then found it again over half a dozen times, until me & it called a truce & it disappeared forever ( I think possibly into the depths of blakeys rather gay shopping bag )......So my question is, what can I use instead of it that I can lose again & if I don't use anything, will it make a difference to the draw....i.e. become airy...............

It wont affect the draw but should improve the wicking with it out. Most Genesis users go without filler bungs/screws for that reason.

I threw mine away as soon as the RSST got here. Actually I lost it after about 10 mins, but I wasn't planning on using it anyway, honest It makes no difference at all chris.

Thanks guys.......i'm experiencing another problem with it now....I've just re-meshed & coiled it, but getting a 'Low load' reading on the resistance..Have adjusted the centre post 3 or 4 times, but still nothing......& it's only happening on my Z-max & Z-max telescope......fires up fine on everything else......

The minimum a z-max will run is about 1.4 ohms. Try another coil with one more wrap and you should be fine.

You could have a short. I'm no expert with gennies, I'm a silica man because gennies are too much of a faff for me

sounds like a short to me too, try giving the wick a small turn inside the coil - it often fixes it. The best way would be to drain it off and do a dry burn, then you will be able to see where the short is, but its a PITA doing all that when a little twisting normally sorts it.

Given it 5 coils & tried it on the Vamo, but still nothing...it fires up on the UDT & Zegelei telescope, so it can't be a short........It can only be something to do with the connection to the battery post, but I've tried unscrewing & screwing it up..............

What reading did you get on the Vamo? "Low" would mean its connected but shorting, see what ohms its reading?

The ohms reading on a Vamo for nothing detected is 9.9 so it is seing a device. But its telling you there is a short somewhere. You can get a bad coil to work to some extent on a mechanical device, but its not going to taste great and your putting your batteries at risk.
I would suggest it might be best to start from scratch and make sure you have a nice even red hot coil BEFORE you put any juice on it, It cant be overstated how important it is to adjust your coil before getting it wet as that will hide the problems - not solve them.
