I had a very lucky day yesterday! I won £650!!! I have wanted a power wheelchair for sometime so I can get about on my own without relying on other people. I absolutely HATE people having to do things for me. Sadly, the price of these chairs is crazy. Rather than buy a cheap new one that is not likely to last long, I would rather get a good quality secondhand one. Now I have won this money I can add a bit to it to get one. Anyway.... This is a shameless wanted advert If you know of anyone who may have a decent one with a battery pack that is reliable please let me know. I have been trawling EBay. Seen a couple of maybes, but being a long way from me I can't check them over before buying. Thanks for reading peeps. Xxx

Awwww that's a shame fiddles i really need the chair. Nearly all scooters I have tried are not good for my spine and after about an hour it becomes very painful. Also, when I have used them in shopping malls, it is near impossible to negotiate around smaller shops. Their displays and racks of clothes are squashed so close together in many cases that I take one look and know I can't go in. I have complained to the shop mobility people saying they would be better offering chairs as they are easier to get inside shops but no joy so far! Thanks for offering though

Thanks for offering though No probs Dolly they was my mothers (my brother & I got them for her ) & she wouldn't use them so they had hardly any use, will agree though chair was far better turned on a six pence, raised and lowered electrically so work top access was a doddle. try gumtree that's where I sold chair is good place to start, look for jazzy pride power chair with raise lower features, they go for a steal sometimes considering original price, I sold chair for £285 and with your budget should be no probs finding a decent one

Great result Dolly, I'll keep an ear out for anyone selling one. The mother-in-law works for the NHS/Thurrock Council in remedial care and with OT's so she may find 1 needing a new home.

What ever you buy, make sure it has a usb output on it so you can connect a pass through vv to it!

Well done on the win, Dolly! I posted this for you before & will again.... If you can find a Quickie wheelchair with a Powertec F16 motor, you're laughing. As that is a 'comfortable' lightweight manual wheelchair with pop off wheels & a pop on powerpack, so best of both worlds.
