Not sure if this will work and I apologise for any mistakes and bad punctuation. I am sat in a puB with WiFi using somones tablet, but finding it strange. Had to come on and speak to you guys cos I am in a bad place today. I had 2 days with no smokes at all. Last night I had a bad night sleep wise with pain. Was woken up at the crack of dawn feeling rubbish and had a bit of grief,so I Had a fag. Then I broke my chain its not expensive but I have not taken it off for 27 years and I feel bad things will happen if I do take it off. Then the car had to go to the garage for a repair, cos something broke - money I didn't need to be spending, then I went to use my vaper and it had leaked it was empty and all over the case, not sure why, so I refilled and got half the liquid in my mouth it was awful, cue second fag of the day. I went from the garage to the jewelers to the pub, today has been a nitemare and I feel like I could burst Into tears at any moment which is weird, I am disappointed at myself for smoking 2 ciggies but hopefully this is a moment rather than a setback

(((Sammy))), sorry to hear you have had such a bad day But please don't be too hard on yourself for smoking a couple of ciggies. Don't count the ones you do smoke, instead count the ones you haven't smoked

Sorry to hear you're having a rough day sammy13Please don't beat yourself up about the 2 ciggies, instead count up how many ciggies you would have smoked if you hadn't been vaping

Perhaps though at the moment, keep the nic level at a comfortable strength for you not to crave a ciggie. Once you're more established, then try to cut the strength down, if that's what you want to do. Don't do it too quickly though and always keep a higher strength juice handy for times of increased stress

Yeah don't cut the nic down too soon. This is not a race...
When I started vaping I was on 36mg/ml plus nasal spray for 8 weeks....
Really you haven't failed...just another fork in the journey.
I still smoke when my disability plays up and I just accept that. It'll come, Rome wasn't built in a day
It took me 3 months to get into the vapes before I reached the happy plateau that was 36mg/ml for 8 weeks
Otherwise I'd be at my 2 year anniversary now...
Really we can't say this enough...don't beat yourself up - tomorrow is a new day. Sunday is a new week....soon be a new month
Blessings

Sammy don't feel bad about yourself, today you have had a relapse that's all its no big deal, I expect nearly everyone on here has turned (or wanted to) to a fag in times of stress, its what we all did, its a natural reaction when things go wrong, take it one day at a time & as others have said count up the ones you have not smoked rather than the other way around. I cannot remember the thread title but I have read on here about reducing the mg level of your eliquids, someone said to reduce at approx 1mg per month so there are no cravings (which would send you straight back to fags) but firstly you have to be settled at the strength you are currently using, i'm not going to even consider reducing until at least 3 months from the day of my last fag & then it will be a gradual reduction. Hang in there

Hi Sammy am sure it's just a moment, rather than a back to square one.
I get the bit too where you are scared about the broken neclace, thinking it will mean other bad things will happen. I have those tendencies too, so understand totally what you mean.
In the past when chain rwaction stuff like that has happened I imagine you have reached for a cig, so all you've done is do what your programmed to do, in times of stress and upset.
Don't beat yourself up Sammy, one of those things. New day, new start. Xxxx
