If he's a proper bloke telling him the vamo is built better and will do the job better should be all the excuse needed. Most blokes like solid and functional and a wee fib about better spec too does help to let the inner wee boy take mental control.

As it happens it is rather good, got the i4 yesterday and my faithful Xtar WP2 is now on the subs bench.

Well just thought I'd update you all. Been using it all day and no problems at all so I'm just going to put it down to teething problems and hope it carries on performing because now it works its a cracking little thing. Well it's not so little but I really like it haha.

I know you've had problems with Fasttech in the past collie2011, so I'm really glad that the teething troubles you've had with your mod have evaporated (see what I did there!?).
Having said that, I've got a second Vamo on the way as my silver chrome V1 with new spring is wearing to the extent that the chrome is disappearing where I hold it in my sweaty mitts, and the threads on the 510 fitting are getting a bit loose, but for £20 I'm pleased that I've got 7 months of all-day use out if it!
My V2 SS Vamo will become my all-dayer, with the chrome going into the back-up box!
Go for it, it's not pretty, but is a great workhorse and for £20 for the body only, it's got to be worth it

I've not had any problems with Fasttech aside from me being impatient

I'm definitely getting a Vamo as a back up device though, although after seeing the SVD that Super-Shiny received today i'm really tempted by it, I also want an Evic. Does the shinyitis ever end haha

you have to be strong collie, wobbles (see what i did there?!) are to be expected on the spending front. i buy on impulse so am trying to cut back a bit.
no more, i said NO MORE mechanical mods in my shopping cart from now on. i dont like them, need one nor want one ..... this week ....

I wouldn`t be surprised to see them pop up, looks like a reasonably easy fix if you can get at one before it`s dropped matt1988
