If i had the choice i would go for the more versatile Don.Atleast you can change its form from a big mod to a small one.I still want this mod but wont pay for one which comes marked as new.I hope the next batch turn up and are ok.

The Don looks very versatile and also a sexy bit of kit. Also takes a lot more battery types than the SD. I have an SD and I'm not knocking it, it's a great little PV but it is limited to small batteries.

Yes mate, thats the only thing that is putting me off.I would have ordered one but after hearing about other peoples mods with these marks it put me off.Maybe they can be polished out but im not willing to risk it.I will get one eventually though as its a beautiful mod.

My GG Nano was accidentally double-engraved, 2 different designs, one superimposed on the other. I got a mere £10 off a £100-odd item. So the price for chuck-marked Dons is par for the course I believe the chuck-marks wear off gradually. However, if I were in your situation, Ian, with no immediate need for a new PV, I wouldn't go for a substandard one either. As for River's quandary - the SD, which I've had for a couple of years, is a great mod, only let down by the limitation to 3.7v batteries. I've had quite a number of under-performing batteries, that doesn't help. LR atties work well with the SD. I hope to be getting a Don very soon, so I ought to be able to compare and contrast scylla

Whilst not knocking the SD, I'd most certainly go for the Megladon River, because as been said of it's versatility. The V2 has the recessed atomiser connection, so can take Tank or Mega atomisers without the need of an adapter, the Map/Arry Tanks sit very nicely on it as well. Mine had the chuck marks I've almost got them out with Autosol polish . . . it's irksome to pay full price for something that isn't pristine - but it performs very nicely, so you've to weigh that up. Edit to say, looking forward to hearing what Scylla thinks of hers.

Another bad feature of the SD is that the activation button keeps working itself loose Ive just got an MKI to give the SD another shot.Nice mod using an LR atty as Scylla said. You just have to keep remembering to tighten the button every now and again or it could fall off and easily get lost.I did it with my MKII and its so very annoying, good mod but im still itching to get the Don.

What would be a reasonable price for a mint condition Don, V1 without any batts, just the mod? (No chuck marks whatsoever)

£45-£50 I'd think Blue . . . I certainly wouldn't pay any more than £50.

It probably won't Ian, nor the Tank/Mega atomisers . . . which is why I went for the V2, even with chuck marks.
Adapters are fine, but I'd rather have a factory fit personally speaking, I've had too many adapters that don't always work on the mods I have.

Arry tanks work on it no problem, for the giantomizers, you need the adapter
