I've finally convinced my friend to get vaping and give up the stinkies. I kitted him out but got him some 70PG / 30VG 18mg Benson & Hedges juice to replace his Analogues.
He is finding the throat hit too much and wanted some lower nic juice.
Q1. Am I right in my advice when I say it's the high PG rather than the nic that gives the throat hit?
Q2. Where can I get a high % VG Benson & Hedges flavour juice to satisfy his requirements?

The nicotine strength and PG content will both contribute to throat hit Mucky . . . a little will be lost with a lower strength.
I don't use baccy flavours anymore, so can't be of help to you on that one.

A couple ive came across (never checked pg/vg ) but laying claims to being B n H were benson and fences (sorry forget supplier but it comes up in google search) gold and silver and also a concentrate from www.eliquidlabs.co.uk/gold-pack-e-liquid-flavour-10ml-like-benson-and-hedges-pr-317.html . Not tried any of them so cant comment but i think ill try the eliquid labs concentrate and see how it goes cheers Forgot:I have tried the gold and silver a month or so back but wont comment properly on it as i dont think it was well steeped and i never shook it up when i got it(it was oversweet but not really fair comment for the reasons i mentioned)

only one I've tried was vapourtine's gold&silver, nice, but don't know if they do less than 70%PG.
Is he sure it's not just that he needs to adjust to the technique of vaping, rather than actually needing less TH ??

Looked at paradise vape but in the end went for 12mg silver &gold from ecigarettedepotpaul ecigarettedepotuk based on Perps recommendation the reducing the nic would ease the throat hit. We'll see how that goes later this week! Thanks everyone for the help!

You may find yourself wanting to vape a little more with a lower strength to feel ' satisfied ' Mucky, but I wouldn't worry about that if it eases your throat. I don't know how you vape either, but I'm a great one for chugging, a bit like a pipe smoker does, taking a few drags then holding the vapour in your mouth for a few seconds before inhaling/exhaling. That way the full on vapour isn't hitting your throat immediately, I'm finding I can't take any throat hit at all thesedays . . . and if you're using a Variable Voltage/Wattage device it might help to lower the setting a smidge. Apologies if I'm repeating myself with any of that, I'm at that age.

I was a heavy smokers for nigh on 35 years and I'm still loving the Burley 18mg in a VG. It's a proper slam in the throat type draw and more so first draw of the morning. Might be worth a look but in a lower strength. I've just started to add a few drops of menthol PG when I fancy a change late afternoon.

Not sure if the 12mg is the answer. I assumed that when someone started Vaping that, like me, it would be easy to stop the analogues, but some people just don't want to stop - I've had both successful and unsuccessful converts now but don't know if there's any more I can do?

From my own point I found the shift to VG did the trick it's a much smoother throat hit

You are right there Muckyboy in saying some people don't want to stop, IMO that is the very first step, you have to really & truly want to stop smoking to be able to kick the disgusting habit & its no use trying to stop just because you can't afford to smoke either, if your mind is set then you will overcome all the problems of stopping smoking, vaping just makes it so much easier if you are determined

I was a moderate smoker (30 a day) and when I first went over to PV I found that every other puff hit the back of my throat and made me cough.
That was on 12mg, It eased off after a few days and I upped to 18mg to provide the nicotine hit I needed.
