A little heads up..............

......For anyone ordering Ribbon wire from The Mesh Company......Received mine yesterday with some Ekowool.......The wire came on a little plastic spool, which I thought was rather cool & doesn't take up any room at all, compared to how I normally store it ( wrapped around a piece of card )..........but beware...it's all a ploy...when I removed the bit of sticky paper securing the end bit of wire, all hell broke loose....it acts like a coiled spring releasing itself & before I could say....'Oi!!!!, where's my freebies', I was surrounded by 5 metres of uncontrollable ribbon wire, which had managed to coil itself not only round one of my ankles, but, additionally, my Z-Max, desk lamp, electric toothbrush & one of the dogs tails. I have now, after half an hour, managed to get the swine stuff under control & wrapped around a piece of card......so what started out as a 4 minute re-wick & coil on one of my atty's, has unfortunately resulted in a marathon task...............You have been warned...........

Same happened to me - 5 metres of Kanthal all ove my table! Good warning Chris, should have thought about doin it myself!

I can 4th this one.... I also spent ages trying to unwind 5 metres of Kanthal that wrapp-ed itself all around every object on my desk.

Haha, obviously not a welding man then Chrisjw? You would have been expecting that!

I have been there with 5 kilo rolls of mig wire and that's a lot of meters to re spool .

Chuck an elastic band round the roll before you undo the tape.
