Me neither Jess, spoils a match for me all that kerfuffle. Sharapova is the worst for me. Drives me nuts. Strangely, Mr Dolly could watch her all day..... Can't think why Even my 84 year old Dad watches Sharapova and thinks she's fab . . . mind you he turns the sound down.  |

Being bad and celebrating Serena Williams going out, apologies to any of her fans . . . but Ladies Tennis had got ever so boring with her winning all the time. Laura Robson out, but she's done well. Andy Murray through though.  |

Being bad and celebrating Serena Williams going out, apologies to any of her fans . . . but Ladies Tennis had got ever so boring with her winning all the time. Laura Robson out, but she's done well. Andy Murray through though. Shame Laura's out (nice girl, with no pretensions)... with Serena's shock exit, who knows what could have happened! Bet she feels gutted. |

It has been a good'ish day on the tennis front, just a shame that Laura couldn't hang in there.  She's young & very good, with still her whole tennis career ahead of her. Brilliant that Murray got through.  I must apologise, he was doing well, I then went into the kitchen for a while & he dipped, got back in my chair & all was rosy once more!  As for Serena, I'm sorry, but....... |

With Serena out it really opens up the women's competition this year which is great to see. Laura played a blinder and was unlucky to break only to lose her serve at 5-4 in the first set. To then go 5-2 up in the tie break and lose that as well it must have really hurt. Thought she did herself proud though and has a bright future ahead of her.
I missed Murray's game but it looked like he had a comfortable win despite some close moments. Fingers crossed for him in the rest of the competition.
