Aha, new version, the top section no longer tapers and they say it has an eGo thread now. Worth it if the build quality is still as good.

It`s a good price that - I`m half tempted to get one and I don`t even want one !
There`s so much choice these days with all the different stuff available.

Will this take the Kick Clone without any need for modification does anyone know?

I've got the original KTS+ and don't have 18500's or the kick clone but don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. I just measured the inside diameter which seems to be around 19.5mm for the top section. If an 18500 proves too big an 18350 layout would definitely fit.

Thanks Verey . . . the clone doesn't work in a Drawtube, it's too small, or the diameter of the DT is too wide. So I thought this could be an option, Ego threading is a bonus. Fab, thank you Linclass. Best I go and buy one then.

If I had the cash I would get one too, it looks much better without the tapered top section of the "original" version.
They should bring out the revised top cap on its own for those of us with the earlier one.

Drat it, even though I shouldn't have I've gone and ordered one. Really does mean I have to eat less since I only just got my benefits sorted out after a month with no money. Damn you Fast Tech !!! I went for the two tone since I really like the original one in two tone. The "brass" effect is quite golden although at the pricepoint they do these for I expect it not to be that good at keeping its looks.

I am sat at home, knowing in 20 hours I'm off to the other side of the world, for a week.
I thought it would be good to order something from FT and was looking at a similar device to this earlier today.
Two Qs?
1) I take it I'd need protected batteries for it - any recommendations (also on FT) 2) Can anyone explain (as I've always wondered) how does it work? (the knurled bit is the fire button - so it's a mechanical way to complete the electrical connection?).. With a 3.7v battery, it will start a bit higher and then tail off....if I tend to vape 1.8s at 3.7-3.8 - will it make decent vapour for most of the battery life or does it drop down quite quick?

The vapour production will rely on the atty resistance and quality of the battery. Any of the protected panasonic batteries should be fine, the higher the capacity the better. My main concern if you use unprotected IMRs is your IMR getting too low to recharge, but if you're a seasoned vaper you'll change the battery with drop in satisfaction before that happens. The protected battery will help if you get a short though.
I tend to use attys at 1.5-1.8 Ohm but being mechanical, this thing will handle lower resistance than that as well.
