You'll have to bring the van near to a canal/river sometime and we can have a boaty/vanny get together.

Well I would guess that it would be easier for me to bring my van to your boat than the other way around!!!! A chap up the loch from us, wrapped two static vans in tarpaulins, strapped 45 gallon oil drums to them and floated them across Loch Long to a site on the other side where there were no access roads. Ofcourse there are other ways to get caravans across water.

Nice van Lobey, I changed from a Pennine folding camper to a caravan about 10 years ago, I used to love the camper but hated having to take it down in the rain and having to dry it out on my driveway as soon as I got home. Maybe we should start a AAEC Caravan and Camping Club

Yes. I am, at present, getting my folding camper cleaned up ready to sell it.
I need to get it out of my workshop so that I can put the caravan in there,
At the moment the van is in a storage yard about 50 miles away and so it is a bit of a sod trying to get it ready for using.
Still, at least now we will get to use it later in the year, long past the time when the folding camper was getting a bit chilly to use.

Just a wee update to show you what is keeping my Vaping to a minimum these days! The folding camper has now gone and the caravan is now in my workshop. Scaffolding now squeezed between the junk and the van. And I spend my days on the roof trying to remove 10 years of muck, tree sap and bird poo. Oh well, only another 6 months to go and it will be ready for the road!!!
