Just seen on another thread that the more you charge the more chance of shortening the life span.
Is this the case then? I have been topping up my spinner twice a day, so is it just best to let it run down?

Probably best to keep doing what you're doing siffy and topping it up, don't worry too much though if you do let it run right down though

I can't let mine run down due to being on the road, also got temperamental charger issues currently so it's on over night for the time being, when I get my joytech twist next pay day I'll have 3 so might let it run down then but maybe charging twice daily is a bit obsessive.

I don't know of any problems with keeping topped up. From my understanding its leaving them to sit before getting recharged that can hurt them the most. I try to keep all my batteries as fully charged as I can. Meaning there is normally always two being charged, when they are done I will probably swap them for whichever are the most depleted. I do normally have several large mods on the go.

It really is best not to let them run low, they should last longer if you don't fully drain them

Please don't charge your batteries overnight, or unattended at any time. I've only been here a few months, but have seen a couple of cases of bad batteries/chargers. Luckily, as far as I'm aware, they were all attended, and swiftly dealt with. Could you not get a USB adapter for your fag-lighter, and charge a battery while you're on the road? That way, if it starts smoking, at least you could pull over and deal with it. If it happens while you're asleep....... I know it only happens very seldomly, but rather be safe than sorry siffy - I don't run mine down before charging - the vape/flavour really drops off at about half charge, so they get recharged then (I charge a battery once a day)

You can top up Li-ion batteries with no adverse effects - 2 half charges is the same as one full one as far as the battery is concerned - it won`t reduce the overall lifespan
any eGo type batteries I think cut off at about 3.3v anyway so they don`t run too low, so you`re OK if it goes off and then charge it, but it won`t hurt by topping it up either.
You do need to be careful with them, I had an 18650 short out once....it was quite frightening at the time.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a battery question as well. Do you have to do anything special with spent ones or can they just go in the battery recycling thingy at the supermarket?

Good question, mine broken one is waiting to be disposed of. Also, last week I'm sure I read somewhere that you should re charger a spinner on the 4.8V. I haven't as it seemed just a claim and the post had no actual factual reference as to why to do it on that charge setting. Is it correct though?
