Malted Milk concentrate

Anyone used Malted Milk concentrate in their recipes.
I would be interested in seeing some tested recipes and hearing your comments please.

Ash uses it in his Milkshake recipe Piper.

Not a flavour for me as I don't like milky flavours, the bottle I had reminded me too much of warm school milk.

That's one of the many reasons I love this forum - elsewhere, forum members keep their mixing and recipes under lock and key so they can sell them to each other. But here it's more of a family atmosphere and people share without a second thought!


I didn't have much luck with the MM, meself, might give it another go eventually though

Oh yes, won't say where from, but on the forum I started out with there are one or two 'master mixers' selling their wares at every opportunity. £12 for 30ml postage paid, or thereabouts. Couldn't be bothered with that sort of faff myself, imagine the insurance you'd have to get for peace of mind! Plus, I get much more satisfaction from someone liking my recipe than making it into a mercenary transaction.

I did buy a couple though, before I got into mixing, and they are nice. Wouldn't do it again though
