Sorry to hijack, but I've been charging our vision spinners overnight, plugged into the mains with adaptors!! Why isn't this recommended? Lithium batteries store a lot of energy - and there is a chance of them catching fire when being charged. It does not happen often, but it does happen. The "ego" type batteries we use are often clones or copies and use varying types of internal batteries, some are li-ion-ICR, some are li-poly (Different chemical make ups) Here's a teccy explanation: batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/safety_concerns_with_li_ion (The whole site is worth a read, btw) Basically, if you can't watch your batteries charging, best to charge them somewhere safe (where a fire can't do much damage). A pot, the bath tub, a special charging bag, the kitchen floor if it has ceramic tiles. The "thermal runaway" as engineers call it is quite fast, the battery gets hot, then the positive terminal cracks open and releases a hot steam of flammable gas which then ignites. Takes all of a second or two. There is no need to be alarmed now, but you should be aware of the facts. Here's a laptop catching fire (There are more and bigger batteries in the laptop battery pack than in our egos, but it is the same principle):

Well I left my spinner on all night to find its flat as a pancake thankfully I charged my ego with the nicolites adaptor so will try charging my spinner with that tonight. If it doesn't charge maybe the battery is a dud? If it does charge then my charger is a dud. Would that be right?

It sounds like your Ego charger could be a dud Nott, it can happen . . . don't know that I'd want to be risking a Spinner on a Nicolites charger myself.

The volt sign on it says 5v same as the ego charger only difference I can see is no wire. I'm no expert though just want to get it sorted ffs.

Because some cig-a-like batteries are reverse polarity, you could FUBAR your battery - or worse! if that's the case. Only do it if you're sure they're compatible. Also as the Nicolites battery is 180 mAh the current output of the charger is likely to be lower than a Spinner/Twist battery charger.

Now the battery led doesn't even light up when charging, the red light on the charger flickers but when I try and press the button on the spinner it just flashes With all the crap I've had with batteries and tanks I'm on the verge of giving it all up!

Don't give up, it's a steep learning curve getting the right kit that works for you! Until you get the right kit, then have a ciggie if you want/need to. Many people smoke and vape at first, it doesn't have to be all or nothing Count the ciggies you don't smoke not the ones you do!

Don't give up, I nearly did and am glad I didn't. Like has been said if you need to buy some cigs while you sort out the right purchase for you, so be it, I did. I was lucky as my new battery came the next day but had it been an arrive on Monday job, I really would have just smoked till Monday. I don't imagine your made of money but might it not be best to just scrap the battery, charger and wall adaptor and start again? It might seem an outlay now but long term you will save thousands by not smoking. Don't let it put you off vaping, seriously, you will get there in the end.

Yes I have, found my spare ego charger that is giving the same result as my other one I'm charging my ego now to see if I can say the charger is crap or the battery. Thing is I spent 40 quid on a kit that got thrown away in weeks, bought countless c4's that just didn't vape or leaked everywhere and after all the hype surrounding this spinner which to look at and use when working is fine but in typical fashion mine doesn't work! For f*** sake I have a packet of embassy number one on the side in my kitchen but I genuinely enjoy vaping more now. Never thought I'd see the day after I would buy a sneaky pack here and there while at work. I just want the bloody thing to work and not have to fork out another 23 quid for another battery! Moan. Sorry.
