In an unprecedented statement on Philippines National TV, a WHO official discredits e-cigarettes by suggesting that tobacco cigarettes are safer because they have a filter!!! This is direct intimidation of e-cigarette users. Watch the video and my comment:

It does piss me off that all this effort is going into banning electronic cigs whilst normal fags carry on regardless!

Obviously nobody is getting any kick backs from the ecig manufacturers.

It's a shame that none of the big cigarette brands also make ecigs, then this would all be brushed under the carpet.

What kind of gets my goat is that today, the UK government has decided NOT to continue the plan to introduce minimum pricing for alcohol and has also held back on the tobacco packaging implementation.

It's obviously just e-cigs they want to kick as hard as possible.

Why can't they just leave it all alone.

The problem is, that if it goes thro the EU parliament, the only companies who can afford to apply to the stringent rules, will be the tobacco companies.

They in turn will manufacture look alike cigs, at extortionate prices, for e-cigs that won`t stop you going back to the "stinkies".

That you will only be able to acquire via a presciption.

If we all sit back and do nothing to educate our MP`s, MEP`s and medical authorities, we shall end up "F***ed".

Each one of us must put in the effort to enable us to continue vaping after 2016 or poss sooner if MHRA get their way.

I think today's announcements say it all. Now I like a drink (or two) and I used to like my fags (now vaping). But for the Gov't to completely cave in shows how little they care for the health of the nation, and are just concerned with the cash that comes into the coffers. I'm not sure how two-faced anyone can become without being a clown!
