Hey everyone So I got myself two dreams on the classifieds on Tuesday, and have been trying to get them sorted since the postie delivered them at 11am.. TBH I've been so close to throwing them at the wall it's unreal!! My biggest issue is the filling once it's built.. No matter what I do I'm losing so much juice that its upsetting! I've tried Todd's method of filling from the top.. leaks through the airhole under the wick and fills up the well with the spring in it.. I've tried filling from the bottom.. leaks out the airhole on the side of the tank and get a lot of gurgling... When I finally got it all built up without a leak I got a bloody hotspot and so had to take it apart again!! frustrated.com!! Whats the easiest way of getting rid of the air without losing any juice? I'm going to be refilling them at least once a day and so I need a foolproof method!!!! I'm building it just like this video shows and so no wicks in the channels.. Many thankyous in advance!! Dan

Put a piece of blu tak or better still an ear plug in instead of the drip tip. Turn upside down and unscrew tank from body (there should not be an airhole in the tank) Fill to about 1/3, keeping upside down screw main body back on. Turn right way up, remove drip tip plug, remove any juice from DT hole, fit DT and vape. Honestly, works every time for me with no mess at all. A great vape.

Hi Roger THANKYOU!!!! It works!!! Had a bit of juice leak into the well again, but cleaned it out, re-assembled, and WOW!! One down, one to go!!! Brilliant. It's not too fiddly a method, but it works. You will occasionally get some juice in the well, but that is usually from over filling (it's where it's supposed to go) Another little tip, if it stops wicking not long after filling, it can be an airlock sometimes. Just unscrew the top part SLIGHTLY until a big bubble rises, then tighten again. Bloody good when you get them right. BTW It looks like I build mine the same way, seems to be the best.

It did indeed have an airlock.. vaping brilliantly now!! I've used 2mm ekowool in this one, gonna try 1mm ekowool in the other and see how different it is.. only done two wraps of kanthal 0.20 to get 1.7ohms so may need three wraps with the 1mm to get around the same...

Has anyone felt the need to enlarge the air hole with these?
Its a bit tight for my likening but not sure how much to enlarge it by?.
I drilled my rsst's airholes out to 1.5mm and they were perfect.. will this be about the same?
How big were the holes in the chrome plated version?

Another way to stop the juice filling the well due to the pressure when screwing the top cap down is to make a small hole in the tank and fit with a screw and rubber o'ring. unscrew to fill and just screw back in the juice stays put as you dont build up much pressure. a plus note is you can pretty much fill it right up with a needle bottle this picture shows a pc screw which is rather large but have since sourced a ss screw and works.... well "like a dream"

Im wondering if I choked the wick slightly when I built it earlier so going to see how the other one pans out before getting the drill out..

Out of sight perhaps?

& I think I drilled my airhole out to 2mm, because I'd broken my 1.5mm bit

Here you go dc...........a simple, fail safe solution..... Forgive my ignorance chrisjw but what do you do with it? Is to use instead of bluetack in the drip tip hole?
