Here you go dc...........a simple, fail safe solution..... Forgive my ignorance chrisjw but what do you do with it? Is to use instead of bluetack in the drip tip hole? Yep.......nice tight fit & obviously easy to pull out again with the screw, once filled

Ingenious!
*hunts for an old carto and a self tapper!*
I am intrigued by this filling screw malarky though.. seeing as they have a relatively low capacity I expected them to have one as standaed! Especially with all of the filling issues people have!
I still have the 1.5mm bit in the drill so will give it a go if the second build is no looser.. I've swapped the plastic drip with one that came with my rssts which seems to have helped slightly.. suppose its all down to experimentation.. I had the rsst vaping perfect once I'd enlarged the airhole and sourced some steel rope.. gonna be the same with this one i think.. play around for a day or so and it'll all of a sudden just switch and vape like a train!!
Do need to get better at coiling around silica though.. mesh and rope is a doddle compared!! Thats what needs my attention before messing around with the device itself!!

I only use ss or chrome tips...........In my opinion the plastic makes the vape taste awful......personal preference

Update:-
Recoiled both dreams last night.
Wasn't happy with the taste of the first one and so had another go at that, tasted better afterwards.
Second one gave me grief for well over an hour with "atomizer short" showing on the Evic every time the funnel was tightened down over the wick.. thought I was doing something wrong and so must have re-done it at least 10 times (used at least 1m of kanthal!).. I then had the common sense to look at it properly to find that the gap between the contact pads was so miniscule that the positive contact pad was touching the ground pad every time the funnel was tightened.. Didn't see an easy fix and so I undid the big screw from underneath to see if I needed to maybe sand the face of the pad down to increase the gap.. Before I tried that I turned the contact upside down, did it back up and made sure the gap was even. Hallelujah no shorts!!! Wicked and coiled for the umteenth time and it works a treat!
Still getting quite a lot of airlocks this morning and so going to order a couple of new tanks to try the filler screw modification to make things a bit easier.. need to get myself a couple of needles too.. (only have nipple top bottles at present)
I've also jumped in the deep end and drilled the air holes out to 1.5mm... In honesty it's still a tad tight, but I think that it may be that the 2mm ekowool is too thick to use as shown in the video.. Will have to try with 1mm at some point.. Just a case of talking myself into re-wicking it AGAIN!!
Overall, I'm very happy with how they vape at present.. the second one has a slightly off taste at the moment so will investigate that later today, thinking that a hot-spot has reared it's ugly head overnight!
Considering how much they cost though I'm well happy!! Just wish they weren't such a faff to get going in the first place!!
Now I just need to stick my spare RSST in the classifieds and see what else I can find to buy!
Biggest quarm I have is the capacity of it, even extended! I would like something of this height to hold at least 6ml!!

I don't have one of these and TBH I'm quite glad, sounds like a lot of messing about! Don't let my inital problems put you off!! Been using them non stop since I got them setup properly (worth noting I only have limited time when I dont have kids badgering me) and now theyre setup I would truly say they are pretty much perfect! I've refilled both of them twice now and not a single leak such as I experienced to begin with.. flavour is outstanding too!! I'm now going to be selling both of my rssts to fund another couple to keep juices in rotation.. They are brilliant!! My only tips are; Fill using method that Roger mentioned. So easy and takes seconds. Double up the legs of the coil. This prevents the coil from being pushed down when screwing on the funnel which could lead to shorts.. stiffer legs keep the coil where you want it.. If this is the vape you can get from a £20 clone, the future is bright!!! My only gripe is that I wish they'd do one in a slightly larger diameter with more capacity to suit mods like the drawtube.. one of these in the same diameter as the rsst and id be in heaven!!!

Update -
Re coiled the Dreams today, and have found the 1mm ekowool to give even better throat hit and flavour than the 2mm version.
I think the 2mm was being choked by the gap between the coil base and the chimney.
I've used two different varients of wicking arrangement to see how they differed. Still mid-quest in finding the perfect setup for these!
The first one as shown in the video shown earlier, and the second to position the loops over the channels as opposed to being in between. I also used 0.3*0.1 ribbon on the latter setup.
The latter does seem to give a slightly better flavour, (possibly the ribbon giving a better burn?) but it's definitely more gurgly. It does seem to respond better to direct inhaling though which lessens the gurgling for some reason..

I don't have one of these and TBH I'm quite glad, sounds like a lot of messing about! I bought a couple of Kayfuns on the back of having a Dream, the Dream is an excellent device and gives a great vape, yes maybe a little fiddly, but well worth the effort. I bought the Kayfuns because I like fine engineering, who doesn't!, and I liked the Dream vape so much. The Kayfuns are easier to set up and fill, and for me nirvana. Is there any difference in the vape? some Kayfun owners will say yes, for me I don't think so. For me the Dream is a great vape for the dosh.

Dan, if you want larger tank unit to hold around 5.5-6.0 mls of juice, get youself the 8 mls capacity Vivi Nova atty. The tank is perfect fit for the threading on the dream. But you will need to get some stainless tube to extend the inner chamber chimney in length up to the o ring in the top cap, thus making it juice tight. Not sure but I think Fasttech stock the 8mls Vivi Nova units. Happy vaping. jeffc

I'd also considered getting a couple more extension kits, and having two extensions at the bottom and a stainless nova tank at the top with a fill screw in the window... Does anyone happen to know how much extra capacity the 8ml tanks will give over the 3.5ml extended setup? Also how tall is the 8ml tank? I have also been considering trying to find someone who could make a kind of bulb tank to increase the juice capacity without adding even more length to what is already a rather large device!!
