Hi everyone, i have a Protank which i use in an Evic and its strarting to drive me mad I can take a draw, and the very next second the Evic will say 'No Atomizer Found' so i will loosen or tighten it a little and it will vape, maybe once or 3 or 4 times, then it will stop again. I have tried tightening it right down and it still happens, yet i can put on a T3 clearo and it will vape all day with no problems. Anyone else getting this? and what could i do to fix it? is the centre post too long (the 510 screw) and would it be worth sanding it down a little?

Sounds like your centre post is only making intermittent contact Jcol, have you tried pulling it down on the Protank a bit or using it with an adapter?
What's it like on anything else?

Just had a look at it, the centre bit is just a little higher than the threading, so will try to pull it down a little. Never thought of an adapter, i have one somewhere so i will root it out and give it a try. Just tried it on my Vamo and so far no miss fires, maybe the Evic is being fussy lol. Thanks Perpetua sometimes i dont think of the obvious answer lol

My eVic is not keen on Protanks and today took a disliking to an AGR carto tank.
Probably lack of consistent contact on the positive centre post. I usually just screw it down a tad more (just a little) or get out the pliers and pull out the end on the atty.

Take the head out of the ProTank base and give the little metal pin on the end a slight pull down, should start making connection then

Have you tried standing near the window? It helps with my mobile phone signal.

Take the head out of the ProTank base and give the little metal pin on the end a slight pull down, should start making connection then I tried this, and though it did work, i was still getting random miss fires albeit less often. I found a small O-ring and removed the metal pin and placed it on top of the white grommet, so the centre post hangs down lower than the threading now. So far so good, been vaping now for 2 hours and no miss fires yet

I saw a video on VTTV when they were recoiling an AGA-T and it kept saying Atomiser not Found, Is the Evic's centre pin a bit sensitive? has it gone south slightly?

Yes they are very, very sensitive to any kind of over-tightening. i found out the hard way and im am now on my second control head after i slightly overtightened an agr tank after this it never worked properly and i was forced to buy a new head. I did take the old head apart and you wouldn't believe how small the wire is that attaches to the control head centre pin and it is only a tiny bit of solder. i would not mess around with the eVic centre pin as this will almost certainly damage it.
