Where is it?

I find it a bit of a bind that most establishments aren't open about their vaping status.

I see 'no smoking' signs everywhere but very few 'Vaping welcome' signs.

Is kinda uncomfortable sometimes having to ask.

If every pub in the UK put up a 'Vaping welcome' sticker in the window all this EU rubbish would be a thing of the past.

I agree, vaping welcome signs would be quite awesome. I do always ask though, never been told no yet!

Companies like Wetherspoons haven't helped with their blanket ban on vaping. When I asked about it I was told it's because other customers may think they are allowed to smoke!

In reply I asked that if a driver saw me using my CB radio whilst driving would they then think it's ok to use a mobile phone?

Also suggested they put up a sign saying vaping is not smoking, vaping is legal smoking is illegal, but they weren't keen.

Well, not being allowed to vape is not the only reason I won't go into a Wetherspoons

As I've said elsewhere, smoking is such a black and white area for most people, it probably just seems safer (legally) and easier to ban it for some companies. I can understand it, but I won't be giving them my business if I can help it.

The pub is The Beaumont Arms in Bolton, a very friendly place that understands about keeping customers happy.
The Liqua juice is £3.50 for 10ml, The ego kit is a double ce type set, very handy if you're caught short when the shops are shut and a good excuse for going to the pub.
Wetherspoons missed a golden opportunity when they banned vaping, they have a CAMRA corner and pretend to be a community pub but all they want is your money so no vaping corner.

Apparently, theres a pub in Keighley, West Yorkshire which is a Totally Wicked distrbutor.

All the pubs I've been to around Bradford, Leeds and Halifax have always been fine with vaping.

It seems to me that pubs are an obvious retail outlet for vaping supplies even if they only sell a few 'emergency' bottles of juice, the odd battery and clearos.
In fact it might be useful to have a list of pubs that sell vaping kit, you never know when you might be caught short in a strange town after the shops are shut.

I've vaped in Weatherspoons twice and as I wasn't doing anything wrong and tbh it's none of their damn business what I do, I didn't bother asking.
I kept it subtle-ish though and didn't get any problems.

Now i agree vaping isn't illegal etc, but i don't agree with this, these establishments are privately owned and it is up to the owner what they allow or disallow.

Of course it's up to them, they can do anything they want to lose their trade.
If they've got a problem with it then by all means they are welcome to let me know in person so I can blacklist the place along with anyone else I know.

I don't see it as my responsibility to go and beg for their permission, it's their responsibility to tell me if they don't like it.

Sorry about the militant attitude in my post but after the farce of the past few months and being continually abused through ignorance and small minded or puritanical thinking I have very little patience with more ignorance and small minded or puritanical thinking.

If companies don't want to embrace vaping then f**k them, their loss not mine but I find it hard to even justify a response to anyone that clearly hasn't bothered even thinking about it so I think it's best if I just ignore them
I'm not suggestion being rude to anyone but I just intend to carry on doing whatever the hell I want to as long as it doesn't harm anyone else as far as I'm concerned what I do is no-ones business unless it adversely affects them.

If someone doesn't like that then I'm more than happy to go elsewhere but until they tell me that in person I'll assume they are ok with it

Looks like Yates's is another pub that is now not allowing the use of them, my daughter says she thinks it's come from head office. Until recently they were very much allowed in the Bolton one.
