Whassup guys,
I've been vaping away on my riva for the past 30 minutes, but every so often the vapour would catch the back of my throat, leaving an unpleasant after taste. I unscrewed the battery and noticed there was a small amount of liquid in the there. I've left the battery upside down for the time being and now there's a tiny puddle where the liquid has escaped. Is this fixable or am I going to need a new battery?
Cheers.

The riva should be fine Morgan - just clean it up with tissue and q-tip. Sounds like you have a leaking clearo, though you may just have over-filled it. What is it? Whatever it is, take it off and blow through it onto a tissue until no more juice comes out.

Providing it's not flooded, then there's nothing much to worry about Morgan . . . just get into the habit of giving the battery connector a wipe round with some kitchen paper every morning/evening, or when you notice some liquid in there. If it has flooded and doesn't work, then leave it in some rice to draw out and absorb any liquid, then see if it works.

I reconnected the cleoro to the battery after cleaning it, took a few puffs, unscrewed the battery and there's now a larger amount of liquid there As for filling, I have previously gone over the top 1.6ml line a couple of times, is that a no go? Definitely looks like a leaking clearo, no worries though, have another two coming tomorrow

Blow down the mouthpiece, with a piece of kitchen paper under the base Morgan, until no more liquid comes through. You'll find kitchen paper is a vapers best friend!

*Progress update* I think I've cracked it. Firstly I blowed through the clearo, this cleared about 50% of the liquid. I then looked up through the bottom of the clearo and noticed the remaining liquid was stuck in the part where the battery connects. A quick shake and another blow has cleared it all. Who knew a blow and a shake would be so useful, cheers guys

It has served me well to date [/quote] Hard enough getting me to do the washing let alone check pockets . Back on topic ...Morgan when you say "Arrgghhh it's ******" you mean the battery or the clearo, if it the clearo try taking it all apart (assuming it's a rebuildable) and soaking it in either, Warm Water, Denture cleaner or Vodka (depending on what you have to hand) overnight, leave it dry out, put it all back together and see what happens. If it's not a rebuildable take apart what you can and give it a soak, leave it to dry and try it, worst case scenario it doesn't work and you bin it. If it's the battery that's ****** then I can't help you, but I'm sure there's others around that can offer some tips to try.

Is it a rebuildable v3 clearo? If It is, make sure the head is screwed into the base firmly or it will cause it to leak down the centre tube and into the battery connection. Hope you get it sorted.
