Welcome fos, 35c all summer, that's gotta hurt, have a beer on me I appreciate the sentiments, but is all about what you are used to. I could not bear the generally cloudy weather most of the British Isles suffer through. They say that the human body needs quite a bit of vitamin D to get on well. I get that everyday just by walking outside, in the meantime our Pacific Northwest has the highest suicide rate in the nation and a lack of sunlight is thought to be the cause. Y'all seem cheery enough though so perhaps it is the grunge music or something that is getting to them up there. I will have that beer BTW and have pint on me as well.

Will be postie stalking (do you do that?) in about a week's time Absolutely. I have a Storm Rider 2.1 RGA inbound and check tracking and watch for the postman (or when he's out sick on vacation the postwoman they send) almost constantly. I'm also lined up for one of the first 50 serial numbers on "The Origin" by UVO systems. The only reason I'm not stalking for that is because it won't ship until around the 27th. All good because my 20th Anniversary is on August 7th so it should make for a good anniversary gift. My Frau was quite influential (that and Barrett's Esophagus) in my moving over to E-Cigs so I think it makes a GREAT Anniversary present as we MIGHT make it to 50 years married now. One last thing the Great Lakes are about as close to Dallas as England is to Russia, but everything is relative I suppose LOL.

So how long have you been vaping for F.O.S and any plans to quit? Or go onto no nic? You're up early. Do you work?

So how long have you been vaping for F.O.S and any plans to quit? Or go onto no nic? You're up early. Do you work? Just got off work two hours ago, but I work from home. I've been vaping and totally off of analogs for almost a month after 25 years of smoking the strongest I could find; started on Marlboro Reds, moved to Newport Box and then spent the last 5 years or so on Djarium Blacks. I would still smoke if I could, but The Barrett's means I WILL get throat cancer if I keep going. That being the case it isn't for safety it is to make it until I have grandchildren. I'll probably cut back on my nic level (sitting at 32 right now), but I figure giving up a 25 year habit is enough self improvement for one month. I do consider vaping a miracle and one that can help more than smokers if people go with zero nicotine. I have no idea of the flavors available in the UK, but in Texas if you can imagine it they probably have it. That includes flavors that have never actually existed; DFW Vapor has Brawndo (from the film Idiocracy) as well as Slurm (of Futurama fame) plus things like pepperoni pizza and brownies. Flavors like that can help everyone from people with diabetes to middle-aged women with water retention that can't stay away from the salt.

Och amazing...Yeah when I started vaping I was an oz a day girl of rolling tobacco (no filters) so I knew I need to stay pretty high. I'm going to be at risk from the stinkies for quite a long time due to my mental health probs so going to keep vaping gear in for at least 2 years....
Anyhow suspect you'll be experiencing a scorcher right now....we have high humidity and like rain - judgement from God all this extreme weather if you ask me

Hiya fistofsouth (can't tag you for some reason!) and welcome. My one and only trip to the US started in Carrolton, Texas, and I was amazed by the heat - first place I'd ever been where it was cooler indoors (thanks to amazing air con) than outdoors. Also the place I smelled my first (and only) skunk! Skunk as in animal, not as in weed I live in Ireland most of the time, though am a Brit, and currently back in the UK for various reasons concerning my Dad and family (funeral, birthday). I found Texas people very friendly, though was alarmed at the distance we had to drive to find somewhere that sold liquor - we were in a 'dry' area! Ireland also had a bit of a heatwave for the past 3 weeks, but it seems to be back to normal now - according to my husband, it's persisting it down right now Jo

Carrollton is still dry for hard liquor, but you can buy beer and wine there now. The law stipulates that a city or town must decide to allow alcohol sales in a dry County, so there are a few trailer parks down the road from where I live that incorporated just to sell Liquor. Even with that no Liquor can be sold on Sunday and only between the hours of noon and 21:00 Monday through Saturday. Even with that it must be purchased at a Liquor Store and not at the Grocery Store or a Gas Station. Beer and wine are a bit easier to get as it can be purchased from noon until midnight on Sunday and from 08:00 until midnight Monday through Saturday. All alcohol is cut off at bars at 02:00 in the morning. Still some states are even worse and require one to buy all booze from State-run stores that are only open for very limited hours. About the ONLY thing you will find that Texans covet about SOME other states is that they have wide open booze laws. In Nevada you can get anything at any time, public intoxication is not against the law and state law stipulates that it can NEVER be made illegal. Then again they live in the high desert and don't know what trees look like so I'm cool with the trade off. No one goes there unless they are looking to "act a fool" anyway so I'll stick with Texas. There are positives and negatives about every locale and in Texas that means that weed will be a long time coming and if you are going to be an alcoholic you need to plan your logistics in advance. They don't call Dallas the shiney buckle on the "Bible Belt" for nothing. LOL

Tim Well since I'm a rookie you are going to have to hold my hand and show me where to go if you want me to add myself to the members map. We are sitting at 92f (33c) with 56% relative humidity so it feels like 103f shooting for a high of 102f (39c) and one would imagine that if the humidity holds (and with this cloud cover it will) we should feel like it is north of 110f by 17:00 or so. I guess for the Euros that sounds crazy, but I am in the shade drinking hot coffee right now and I feel GREAT...oh man..now they are really going to think I'm insane. Oh well, it had to come out sometime. BTW I love Georgia although my experience has been limited to Greater Atlanta and the Columbus/ Fort Benning area. The trees are great and it reminds me of East Texas; sure its hot, but you can ALWAYS find some shade.

Fisto, It's not to hard. First, Go to the AAE-C home page and scroll down to the title "Members Only" tab. Click on it and at the top of the page you should see a tab "Members Location Map". Click on it and then ask the Moderator to add you to the map by your US Postal zip code...I hope this helps....Again Welcome aboard....Hope more of us will join and work together like our British Brothers and Sisters are doing....Tell your friends and maybe one day our flags will cover the world.....A united front.
