I got a little bit bored this afternoon so thought what the hell and re wicked and coiled an rsst and a ud agi using silica instead of mesh, purely as an experiment. Used 2mm silica and kanthal ribbon, the difference is beyond belief. Flavour is hugely enhanced, vapour production is enormous, the flavour is really strong and the throat hit is such that I have coughed a couple of times. Iam absolutely amazed at the improvement.
Anyone else tried this and found similar results?

The only wicks that I have tried with such good results are SS wires with a single mesh wrap. Again 2mm but 7X14 not 7X7 (got it off a mate in an MOD workshop, so don't ask me where to get it) WB
