Hi I've been vaping for a couple of months now and I use the riva 1100 with the vision ego v3 rebuild able clearomiser. I've been using tutti frutti eliquid from juice shop and I love it but every now and then I buy a new liquid to try it out. I just got black current flavour from easycigarettes.co.uk and I also ordered a new v3 clearomiser (same I always buy and from the same shop) I like the flavour but after the first pull it taste like its burnt? Anyone know where I'm going wrong? Thanks

Are you making sure you're keeping the wicks wet and coil supplied with juice Ben otherwise you will get a burnt taste if you don't. Swooshing your eliquid around every few puffs should help if you're not already doing that.

It might be that your new clearos are a lower ohm than your old one, or that the new juice needs a higher ohm (higher ohm means that the juice doesn't get as hot, some juices burn more easily than others)
Sometimes it is just a dry hit like perpetua described, which may be a one off (especially if you vaped it right after filling) and will sort it's self out after a few puffs, or you will have to be more careful, as previously described.
I had a flavour that I really liked, but it burnt so easily I quickly gave up on it. It is all trial and error. A VV battery can help to cope with the needs of different juices, or you can get different heads in different ohms for your clearos.

Hi. Firstly, I would say the v3 is easily the worst for dry hits. Also, are you using a 1.8 ohm clearo?

It's so much more complicated than I thought lol. Yes I am using a 1.8. If I got a vv kit would I just be able to change it till it taste better? If so can you suggest a good one to get? Thanks

If you had a VV battery then you can play with how hot it gets very easily. The best lower price range VV batteries are spinners and twists. If you are getting new kit, then I would suggest to you to try something like an iClear16 or an evod, as they are both a step up from the v3. It does all seem complicated sometimes, but once you get a grip on the basics then it is surprisingly simple

If you are trying your new juice in a new clearo then the issue is just as likely (and given its a V3 there's a fair chance its a dud - I think a good third of the ones I've bought are inclined to give dry burns all too frequently) to be the clearo as opposed to the juice.
Clean one of your old v3's out and try the juice in there - that will give you an idea whether its the juice or the clearo that has the issue.

I reckon if you've been off the fags for 2 months you can afford to treat yourself to an evod and a spinner.
