Recipe Encyclopedia

I know I've spoken about this before, but having gone quite a few weeks further down the mixing line, I feel the need for something like this is imperative.

The recipes thread is great, but it needs to be more interactive.

We have some very good mixers on here and many I'm sure, like me, have tried a few recipes from the recipe thread and want to write something/ rate/explain/discuss/ adjust/  or just comment on the recipe.

This type of feedback will also help other people using the recipes ie does it need steeping or not, what type of vape is it... etc etc.

Ash has started a flavour Encyclopedia which I think is a great idea.

It has also been suggested having a VC thread on its own.

I would suggest having a Recipe Sub Board to Mixology Board like the flav/concentrate review board.

Then each posted recipe could have it own thread, and additions could be moderately added to each thread.

Any other ideas?

Unfortunately links to the Flavour Encyclopedia have been removed from the forum. This means that whilst members of other forums can read, contribute to, learn from and generally benefit from the encyclopedia, members of AAEC cannot.

We're making some changes to the forum layout this morning, where many of the points you've raised will be addressed Prom. When this was first set up, home mixing wasn't as popular as it has become, we've been conscious of the need to expand and develop this side of the forum. Up until now there just hasn't been time with all the changes to V5 there have been and everything else we have going on in our busy lives.

There will be a complete Mixology section, with a separate Board ( not a sub board ) for:

General Mixing Questions and Chat Board

Recipe Board . . .  I have made a separate VC Recipe Thread ready to be transferred in. I'm happy to keep a ' master ' pinned sticky running and maybe extract a few more collections. The rest of the board is then there for sharing and discussing recipes.

DIY Eliquid Review Board  . . . for any recipes that have been made.

Flavouring & Concentrate Review Board . . . which will hopefully be more actively used, if it isn't a Sub Board, which don't seem to work that well.

YW Prom . . . Chrissie has created the new Boards, I've done a little moving of threads around. It's over to our mixers now.

I think the Flavouring/Concentrates Reviews could do with some tweaking maybe? But it's up to everyone as to how they'd like to see the spaces developed.
