Ok so anyone reading this tomo, it will no longer apply, but it sure is a good feeling.
I started getting my vape gear on the 1st June.
At that time I had no idea what I was getting into, or if it would be right for me.
I decided once it arrived to take it steady and allow myself a few ciggies a day, 5 or 6 I believe at first.
I then cut that down to two per day and soon realised I needed more supplies.
Due to poor equipment, and juice I didn't like it took a while - well right upto now to be exact to know what I needed.
As of today I have saved £30 .
Not a lot I know but I have bought a lot of stuff I really shouldn't have.
I now need various supplies so that profit will be gone by the morning, but to see it on paper that I have actually saved some money through all my trials and tribulations was a great feeling.
I am now more settled with what equipment I need, and what juice I like so onwards and upwards from here.

Well done Sammy, it is a great feeling when you are finally free of the ciggies and start saving money. Though the saving money bit can be a bit tough with all the temptation out there

But! I haven't bought anything since the 17th July, so it's going quite well really.

Well done Sammy, if you spend every penny you've not spent on fags then what does it matter for all of the benefits to your health, well being and self esteem, plus now you're on the right track with your kit it becomes a bit of an adventure from here! But you'll probly never be in profit again... kerching!

I'm nearly 6 months in and have spent more than I've saved, but WTF I don't cough any more, Instead of just being addicted to fags vaping is now a hobby as well as a way of getting my nicotine.

That's why I posted now, because I now have to spend a bit of dosh on the things I know I need, rather than willy nilly on perhaps this will do.
I have certainly made this harder for myself than I needed to, but if I could do it with peppermint food flavouring to try to make juices taste better, vg to water them down as it were, dozens of dodgy clearos, and a battery with a mind of its own then once my good kit, and nice juices all arrive it has to get better.

Unless you become the gadget queen I imagine once you have the right set up you will start to see you are spending less. I have nothing I need to buy for two weeks now (will need more 24mg in two weeks) so will have £128 extra in the bank. That will cover the girls new school shoes, shirts and a treat day for the four of us Next month no clothes bills, no mod needed yet more than happy with spinners so can start saving for a holiday. What, if you don't spend your money on vape stuff, do you think you will put your old cig money towards? What juice flavours did you go for?

Well done sammy - you know it makes sense. I just hope that with the gear you have winging its way to you you will save even more, to say nothing of the improvement you will notice within days to your health and general well-being (get me, I should have been a counsellor!)

Congratz.

I can't wait until my habit (vaping) pays for itself against my old habit (smoking). Assuming I spend nothing between now and mid-September, I will have broken even. So here is hoping.

On another note though, I do already have plenty juice, but today I ordered a DIY mixing kit, and some flavour concentrates, so I should be set up easily for this. In fact, I already had enough juice before the order to take me there, and I think I'm set for back-ups with an extra mod on its way, and another few ego-style batteries (as well as a heap of 18650's, 18350's, and a stupid amount of evods).

My saving is no longer
I just got myself a purple spinner, a wall charger and some juice.
Siffy so far I've got banana in all varieties- I do like a nice banana , and I am about to go get myself some more chocolate variations.
This seems to be me, banana and chocolate I will throw something else in to try as well.
