Can't believe I was so offended!

I've been off the stinkies for 7 weeks now. Yesterday at work my boss came over to my desk, lent in close and whispered, "did I see you with a cigarette yesterday?"
Now, what I should have said was that it was none of her business, instead I was soooo offended! "Of course not , honestly, it wasn't a cigarette, it was my pv". It was like being 13 again!

This is precisely why I changed from Cig-a-likes to MODs. What I vape these days could in no way be mistaken for a cigarette. A torch or a bit of central heating pipe perhaps, but definitely not a fag!!!

It is unfortunate that cigarettes and smoking has been so demonised in this country that those of us that use cig-a-likes to vape with will almost to a man, be accused out of hand and without enquiry, of smoking.

Therefore it is up to us, if we do not want to be accused of smoking, to make sure that others cannot be mistaken into thinking that we are. By using a MOD they may not know what we are doing, but clearly we are most certainly not smoking.

She's a part time smoker, not at work but will have the odd one on a night out. I was offended that she thought I'd lied about staying off the fags

Sounds to me then that she doesn't like the idea that Vapers "can have their cake and eat it".

I rather enjoy the fact that I can still enjoy both the taste and the nicotine yet not be a smoker.
