Opinions on E Liquids

Just got some new supplies (didnt need any ) but just experimenting added 5 new flavours and a restock of Choc Banana ,another 80ml in total .Got strawb - vanilla and Cappuccino from swap smoking (not tried any of those yet but liquid appears a good consistency and lovely colours will report later on these .Cost was super £6.97 inc P&P for 30ml delivered rapidly.Next we go to paradise vape order ,Cream soda 20ml Choc Banana 20ml and liquorice 10 ml all high nic 50/50 mix -after ordering on reccomend of posters on here as to the superb flavours first impressions are not the best ,only get a background flvour although throat hit is ok on Choc ban and Liq ,Cream soda is a let down liquid is too thin and watery and taste is sickly sugar and liquid bleeds through the mouthpiece (probably because its too watery) .Bets all round as yet is Freedom Vape - liquid consistency is good on all flavours (slightly treacle like ) all flavours are good to excellent and service is top notch .Watch this space for report of swap smoking product at brilliant price . Got a free sample from Paradise vape a bullet shape can of Ropot Beer (What is this ?)

Hi birdy dont mean to put any doubt on your juice purchase from Swapsmoking but have heard they use dactyl(not sure if i spelt that right) in their mixs.

What might i ask is dactyl - as i write i just had my first attempt with swap smoking liquid and it has to be said first puff was superb - Strawb extra high nic then taste on subsequent puffs abated although throat hit is top drawer .

Im not %100 sure im hopeing someone can shine some light on this but heres some info:

Diacetyl
Diacetyl (IUPAC systematic name: butanedione or 2,3-butanedione) is a natural byproduct of fermentation. It is a vicinal diketone (two C=O groups, side-by-side) with the molecular formula C4H6O2. Diacetyl occurs naturally in alcoholic beverages and is added to some foods to impart a buttery flavor.

The United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has suggested that diacetyl, when used in artificial butter flavoring (as used in many consumer foods), may be hazardous when heated and inhaled over a long period.

Workers in several factories that manufacture artificial butter flavoring have been diagnosed with bronchiolitis obliterans, a rare and serious disease of the lungs. The cases found have been mainly in young, healthy, non-smoking males. There are no known cures for bronchiolitis obliterans except for lung transplantation.

I do sometimes wonder about all the scare stories - Just read the possible side effects on any drug info sheet (aspirin and Paracetamol included ) the dangers of cig smoking are another good example .Diacetyl ? why would the company manufacturing e liquids use a product knowing it was as lethal as the above info suggests ? .

at first i didnt like cream soda,but if you try it first thing in the morning and only vape that it will grow on you.It did me but then everybodys taste buds are different

Just made contact with Swap smoking and asked them to confirm or deny use of diacetyl etc etc the chap responding said he was unaware i was a customer - I have put him right on that score and await his further response.

Chap has just recontacted me and confirmed i am in fact a customer and now says he will go away and return with answers regards the use or in fact non use of Diacetyl in Swap smoking e liquids.

And just to add fuel to the fire the cheapest liquids i have bought are the best flavour and good throat hit - so interested greatly to get this response from swap smoking because they are the supplier ,Vanilla is super and cappiccino and strawb not far behind.

I've got to jump in here. If you're referring to the review I did of cheap Amazon-sold juice, it was PaddyPuff I mentioned, and their RY4. I said that there was a strange taste, and that it strongly resembled a taste in a juice I had that I knew contained Diacetyl. I also said that I could not confirm the presence or otherwise of Diacetyl.

Now, to add a little, the SwapSmoking sold RY4 arrived a couple of days ago. It is identical in every way to the PaddyPuff stuff - same box, same bottle, same spelling mistakes on the box, and the juice is identical.

My feeling, then, is that neither PaddyPuff nor Swapsmoking make their own juice (very, very few retailers of e-juice do, by the way) and are buying in pre-packaged (technically illegally packaged, as it it does not adhere to CHIP regulations) juice for re-sale. The likelihood is that, given there are no ingredient lists on the packaging, they have next to no idea what's in any of the juices they sell. If the Swapsmoking folks are seeking info from their suppliers, I somehow doubt they'll be given the whole truth.

So what about my health cabin vanilla that tastes like ice cream? it's that sweet!!!...any ideas?

Got loads of it so would hate to bin it......

this Diacetyl stuff sounds worrying...:eek:

I also said i wasnt 100% sure as i have also purchased juice from the two vendors you have mentioned but didnt feel safe in vapeing them tbh.As i have had the same as you RY4 and it didnt taste right to me.

And yes i agree the company prob doesn't even know whats inside them.

Vanilla is the one I'm vaping right now though tastes more like cream soda/ice cream
