under a year ago i got my provari from carl along with 3 x AW imr 18490 batts. these are discharged too 3.7 99% of the time. in the recent 4 to 6 weeks they are not performing as well as they did. when i charge them now they read 4.2 on the provari without load but can read 3.8 under load straight off the charger. are they nearing death, why so soon and what and were do i buy my next lot. searched a bit on here and ukv and torchy comes up a fair bit but not much on the 18490/18500. any recommendations please. i wont be buying from china and only really want fully trusted sources, ive had bad times with batts and dont want to go there again.
thanks
raggy.

I don't think that's too shabby in all honesty Raggy considering the number of times you've probably charged them. 3 batteries starting to peak off after that time and use wouldn't put me off buying the same again. I never bother checking battery load, if I need to charge my batteries more regularly, then so be it. But if you do want to try something else, then the Efests also work well in a Provari: www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Li-Ion-Batteries/Efest-IMR-Batteries.html

I get mine from Torchy and find the batts. from him to be very good and a fair price.
Why don,t you email him thats what i do and you get them a bit cheaper as well,
as he doesnt have ebay fees to pay if you pay him direct through paypal.

thanks perpy, john and griegster. i had a look at torchy on ukv earlier this morning and ask what stock he has ref: button top imr 18490s, which are what im currently using (18490 that is). greigster: you say 18500, does it matter which of these i use?. perpy: when i say checking under load what i mean is with the carto IN the provari, not sure if this is actually under load, i just press the button 10 times ish to show the battery and it can show 3.8, if i take off the carto and heck it will show 4.2. will also take a look on vape escape as i need some banofee cream to flavour my hangen tobacco. raggy........

If it shows 4.2 with nothing on it then your batteries are fine ragjoythanks karma, from what i understand there taking a full charge but as soon as you put the carto on a fully charged battery it can be as low as 3.8, that said it can be 4.0 depending on what battery im using. i thought this meant that although its taking a full charge it has started to lose its capability of holding it. they certainly dont last anywhere near as long, i was using just under 2 per day, now getting well into the 3rd. no big deal just lining up some new ones really. i vape at 3.8.

For AW's I've used both Cloud 9 and Vapegear, they both have 18490/18500 in stock.
