ROFL3You need to be more worried she doesn't get her hands on yer kayfun Not gonna happen, she only has Twists and the weight of this thing would cripple her twist if it fell over

Cheers GreigsterGotta say this thing gets better and better, it must be settling in or something, is there any end to how good this thing gets Gotta feeling 16 x Evods 1 x Protank 1 x Iclear30 might be up on the classies very soon unless my OH gets her grubby hands on them Welcome to the Kayfun fan club Rom! After a couple of weeks of deliberations I ordered the KLite in preference to the Polish conversion kit (sorry macca ), I just thought for now it'd be faster+cheaper way to get my hands on another Kayfun. How you guys finding the Samovar? Is it worth the top buck? And when has the Nicvape's postage gone up to 68 bucks!?

Thought i would share this as Dan asked me how do i do mine so why keep it to myself : Where do i start, well gonna start at the Ekowool and what i do, now i know some out there say it does not need it but i do it anyway and it works for me. Upon receiving my Ekowool i remove from the bag and straighten it out and then tie a bit off kanthal wire around the ends to stop it fraying because i boil mine for about 15mins and then i leave too thoroughly. Now the Ekowool has been boiled and thoroughly dried now onto how i use it......... I cut my required length with very sharp scissors which gives me a cleaner cut at both ends and does not fray as much when handing it, i then flame the part i will be wrapping coil around and a little further but not the whole length (I just flame for about 10 seconds, not even close enough to make it go white, i Just want it to stiffen up a bit) this makes it easier to coil as the wick is now more stiff. I then flame the 0.2 Kanthal until it is red hot(I use this for all of my coiling) as this makes the coil easier for me to handle. I then get fully straightened paperclip and put my wick horizontal with it and hold with both my thumb and index finger in the horizontal position and then get my coil and line up as close to my thumb in the vertical position with one leg of the coil pointing downwards. Note for the following: When i wrap coil i wrap it quite tight which strangles the wick but once the paperclip has been removed the strangulation goes away Now whilst holding it all together i carry on and do four wraps, once the four wraps are done i should end up with two legs of coils pointing downwards.......I then get the leg nearest to my thumb and pull it away from me so that it now faces north and is horizontal and i then get the next leg and pull it towards me to face south and is horizontal. Now the wick should be done and have two legs, both horizontal which makes it much easier to wrap around the two screws on the Kayfun, i then put it all in place making sure of two things: 1) It's directly above the hole 2) It's about 1mm above the hole Now i bend both end of wick to get a rough estimate of how much to cut off, whilst doing this you will notice that the Ekowool starts fraying a bit, no worries there as you want this a bit. I then keep finely trimming until both ends just touch the shoulders of the Kayfun whilst fully bent downwards. Once i am happy with it i then drop some juice onto the wick (I use the juice i am going to fill it up with) and see how it wicks. Hope it helps

Don`t overfill it, when filling from base, holding the atty @30 degrees (almost horizontal), watch the bubble in the tank, when it almost reaches the top, stop filling, turn upright replace filling screw "tight". Leave for 1 min to allow wicks to soak up juice. Couple of drags on atty, helps prime system. Filled from the top on my first try with the Kayfun jeffc and as Greigster said why Just done my first re-fill today (Omg this thing really makes me vape like a trooper and love it) and your method above worked like a dream

i tried the single little piece of 3mm ekowool earlier and it's been working a treat with some 0.5mm ribbon wrapped to give 1.4 ohms Thanks Greigster, no more wasting ekowool on loops for me

That was silica in the pics mate, I don't flame it. I do flame the wire though before use. Eko wool does not need to be flamed with all juices, for instance GVC is great on it straight from the wrapper, more subtle juices however do benefit from flaming the wool.
The reason I prefer the loop/figure of eight method is simply due to the fact that it's very difficult to block the juice channels. Actual performance is no different to the cloud9 tutorial.

Thanks blakey, ain't got 1.5mm silica, got 1mm/2mm/3mm silica, what would you choose? One more thing what stops you using Ekowool over Silica for the Kayfun? sorry for all the questions just trying to find out all options

Reason, cocomel and Eko wool seem to hate each other ??? It just tastes rank whereas GVC tastes far better with it and vice versa with the silica.

Cheers blakey will go with 2mm Ekowool as i ain't even tried Cocomel, will be mainly using it for GVC type of juices I did try your method with 3mm Ekowool but now i think of it i don't think i done it 100% correctly so deffo gonna give it another try, went through that day with so many variations that i got a bit lost Looking forward to trying again once my tank is empty

If you're using Eko wool then I'd go with the 1mm as it comes up quite thicker than the equivalent silica.

So I had another play with my lites this evening.. Before I tell thee of my "successful setup", these are the wick setups I've tried so far; All tried at least twice to ensure I get a fair result (at the cost of lots of liquid being wasted!!) - figure of 8 (Similar to that which Blakey showed us earlier but with 1mm ekowool) - as above but with 2mm ekowool - single 1mm ekowool setup in a similar fashion to what Svoemesto show in the Lite's instructions - as above but with 2mm ekowool - single 2mm ekowool trimmed to just touch the deck (havn't bothered to try this with 1mm ekowool, seems pointless!) - doubled 2mm ekowool trimmed to just touch the deck - 8 strands of 1mm silica (4 strands trimmed close to wick and 4 strands to just touch the deck) All wrapped to between 1.8-2ohms. As hard as this will be to believe, these setups were all surpassed by my Dream BT804 attys with regards to flavour! I just could not get the flavour I yearned for. This left me thinking that the Lites were just a way of Svoemesto cashing in on the Kayfun name... At least I thought this until I tried my newest setup using a small length of 1mm Ekowool and a longer length of 2mm Ekowool.. Basically the same as the doubled 2mm Ekowool attempt, but this time I laid a single strand of the 1mm on top so it's kinda tri-lobal like car carpets. Wrapped with flamed 0.2 kanthal and both Lites came to 2ohms. As far as the wick goes, I trimmed the 1mm wick so it was just a bit longer than the coil, and the 2mm wick so it just touches the deck each side. Whilst this is still not perfect flavour wise, it seems to be wicking a lot better than everything else I've tried thus far! Why, I'm not so sure, but it does! Anyway, my next venture was the air-flow... Something I'd been meaning to do since they arrived last Friday. IMO, as standard the KFL is WAY too airy for my liking and I was sure the vape was suffering because of it.. Too much air getting in and not enough "combustion".. I liken it to the Kanger Protank... May as well be tokin on a piece of empty drain pipe Anyway, I had a quick look at what I'd got available to mess about with, and I've ended a small piece of mesh inserted it into the exterior airhole.. I also tried various bits of tubing out of my carp toolbox to avoid using something which is conductive but whilst I got a nice fit in the airhole, the internal diameter was too small on everything I have.. Felt like I was sucking through a blocked straw.. Obviously the main aim was to tighten up the draw, but the flavour improvement is vast to say the least! Wrapped it to a cone shape to prevent the mesh going in too far and making contact with the centre (positive) post and shorting it out and the outcome is fantastic! Finally I'm enjoying my Kayfuns (and feel guilty about my previous Svoemesto comment!) I'm now getting nic-sick within a few tokes! (now that's a weird feeling!!!) What's annoying is that I've just bought another 100ml of GVC to keep me going over the next month in 18mg.. should've held back and waited for the 12mg to come back into stock!! Find myself swapping to the Dreams so I can enjoy a good vape without having to put it down after 30 seconds from overload!! These things are the bees knees for the money!! All it needs is a way to adjust the draw without getting all DIY.. But then it wouldn't be as well priced... Might have to try a Russian 91% when they're available from the shelf.. Simplicity of the Lite but with the adjustment available.. Winnah!!
