I have just realised i have done 3 months without smoking & i would like to start reducing the nic strength of my juices, i'm wanting to know how to reduce 1mg at a time, so for example how do i reduce a 10ml or 20ml bottle from 18mg to 17mg.

Are you mixing yourself dinamic22 or using premade? I'm on my phone at the moment, but if no-one gets back to you in the meantime, I'll stick some info up for you when I get home in an hour!

www.e-cig-reviews.com/eliquid%20calculator.html# This calculator should help if you are mixing your own just follow the instructions on the side. If you wanted to dilute a bottle you already have you would set the base nic to 18, then the required str to 16 and set the dilutant and flavour values to 0, hit calculate and it will give you your ratios. For example to make 10 ml of 16 mg using a premixed 18mg juice 8.9ml of juice with 1.1 ml of either pg or vg would give you 10 ml of 16mg. However it is important to note this will slightly dilute the flavour of whatever juice you are reducing the str of. Hope this helps

I mix myself Andy but all the ones i have made are 18mg so its to reduce 1mg in those & thanks i will check back in an hour.
Jordan thanks for that, i mix my own juices & i know how to change to lower strength if i was mixing a fresh bottle i just can't get my head around what i need to do to lower 1mg in the bottles i have already been using, and as i have flavours i would just add a drop or two to keep it the same.

Mix up some 0 nic of the same flavour dinamic22 and use that to dilute it down, too early for me to do the maths for you though

OK, so you have 10ml @ 18mg & you want to reduce by 1mg on a regular basis? It is a flavour you like & will continue to vape? You are happy & able to mix a fresh bottle @ different strength? OK - mix 20ml @ 16mg. Add 1/2 of this to your 18mg, giving you 20ml @ 17mg, leaving you 10ml @ 16mg for your next strength reduction. This would save you mixing twice. Just for reference, I started on 24mg, quickly dropped to 18mg, & then started mixing @ 15mg (easier calculations and measurements as my base nic is 75mg). The step from 18 to 15 was hardly noticable, although I think I'm vaping slightly more, due to liking my flavours

Thanks for the info Fred but i have about half dozen different juices all 18mg that i swap & change regularly so i just wanted to reduce these by 1mg & i'm not sure how to do it, i have been on a couple of the juice calculators & worked it out to 18mg & then refreshed & worked it out to 17mg & the only difference in a 10ml mix was 8 drops less of nic base & 8 extra of either pg or vg but somehow it did not seem enough of a reduction for 1mg, what do you think? By the way i work out mixes in drops as i find this method best for me with small amounts eg 10 or 20ml bottles.

OK, this is just my opinion.
1). Stop mixing in drops. It's not accurate enough. 5 drops from one bottle is not the same as 5 drops from another, etc., etc. Buy a small selection of syringes and blunt needles. (1ml, 2ml, 5ml and probably a couple of 10ml) Get some nail varnish and paint over all the markings to stop the PG/VG washing off the lines and numbers.
2). For small quantities reducing by 1mg is going to be difficult. Bite the bullet, go for at least 2mg as this will increase your accuracy.
3). If you are going to vape all the mixes you have made, and not fall out of love with any, (like I do) then I would agree 100% with "Karma" above. Mix some 0mg juice of the same % flavour and dilute as needed. If your not sure of a juice just don't mix any 0% until you want it. (you will have to steep again)
4). Don't forget that diluting with just PG/VG will reduce the flavour, but by doing a 0% mix this wont happen.
Good luck.
P.S. I dropped form 18mg to 12mg almost overnight. Had a marathon session dropping all my mixed juices. Was strange for a bout 10 days but great now and saving a load of cash on Nic-Juice.

IMO pipettes are much easier than syringes, although they are slightly more difficult to clean. Pipette = using one hand (less things get knocked over, because can hold bottle with other hand) syringes = two hands/me having a dicky fit, because just knocked something over AGAIN.

Yes Dragon i found i was knocking things over while using syringes thats why i prefer the dropper bottles, i have 4 same labelled bottles that i keep aside 1 for nicotine, 1 for flavour etc & find that as they are the same size & dropper they are pretty accurate & i can hold bottle with one hand & whichever dropper with the other hand. Thanks for your reply Jimthecarper i will see how i go on i might try the 2mg as you suggested.

But I really don't like "drops" as a form of measurement. Good luck which ever way you go. (Nothing wrong with using a Pipette)

Hope you don't mind dinamic22 popping your thread onto Mixology as it could perhaps be a little advanced reading for new vapers.
