When i'm sitting here at the computer I generally use cheap, as in pound shop earphones as i run over them with the chair, dog chews them etc, and as i ran over them the other night tonight I am using the earphones that came with my note 2, 1000x better and don't fall out of my ears at all, ever. I am aware that even these may not be the very best, not even close, but even I with all my wealth cannot afford top dollar stuff to have it last a week or a month, so what do you use, what's the best value for sound? Just asking btw not neccesarily buying lol

I used to get through headphones too, until I invested in some decent kit. I now use Ultimate Ears SuperFi pro 5 earphones with custom-moulded tips (i.e. made to fit my ears exactly) and a FiiO headphone amp

First tried my son in laws & was hooked but he had the next model up, I got mine for half price when Comet was shutting down a snip at £149, great when travelling on a plane or sunbathing as you cannot hear the screaming kids around you lol. Defo try the JVCs you may find them on offer else ware as well.

I use these folding blue tooth headphones, they sound great for the price which was around 15 quid as I recall off of Amazon. The advantages are of course no cables, they fold to a compact package and they have a built microphone so can be used as a blue tooth headset with phone. P.S. That's the grand daughters pink car not mine.

For PC Gaming/video chat I use Dynamode DH660MV which were about £15 or so. For portable music player have/do use iLuv or Skullcandy in ear headphones in the £15-25 price range usually. This guide has some useful stuff - link

I have a couple pairs of Sennheisser HD25's. One for DJ-ing and one for travelling. I also have a pair of Allen & Heath Xone XD2 53's which are monstrous. All excellent headphones, but they are all around the £125-150 mark.

I have a pair of Sony MDR-CD280s which I use for PC gaming and listening to music / podcasts around the house. I must have had them about 15 years, maybe more. They're still going strong. Light, comfortable, good sound. I don't think they make them anymore. No idea how much they cost originally, as they were an xmas gift. I doubt they were top of the range. I don't play many co-op games, but if I need to use a mic, I stick a cheap plastic headset with a mic attached round my neck, while still wearing my normal headphones.

I use a pair of Denon AH-D510's. Fairly cheap and i find them to be great value for money once they have run in.

Yes they seem to be the same, and yes the sound quality is far better than one would think for the price. Having said that, as Mrs Dolly will attest I am partially deaf so probably not the best set of ears to give opinions on sound quality. Cheers

Sound quality is one of them little things on life I don't skimp on in life. sennheiser is the only make for headphones I ever choose. I think you can pick up an entry set of in ear ones for around £25. Pay around £45 for the over ear type and your starting to get there... add another £100 to that price and your talking studio quality.
It's all about what your wanting to get from them for how much you want to spend.
