Didn't think you did Chris . . . made me feel useful anyway. Frog's method does work extremely well, if you've any muslin or a pair of old tights/stocking of Brenda's, then they're great for straining the finished gloop. It's a huge atomiser clogger the concentrate, but very nice all the same.

It works well, especially if you are a DIY mixer just needing a little (50ml or so concentrate) at a time.... I had to stop making it for my tobacco range as I was requiring 10 Ltrs of the stuff every week or so.... It became too much to do like this for business. If you want to try some Very Good Tobacco extract based flavours, I would recommend some of Triphammers. I met up with Tim at Vapefest and during our lengthy discussions on mixing I managed to sample some and was seriously impressed (and that takes a lot nowadays).

I am having problems getting pure tobacco leaf as Leisure Liquids no longer stock it and Pure Leaf only seem to do it by the pound, I'm not low yet just wanted to try some different leaves. Dave

I recommend steeping bags from Leisureliquids - mine came out clear no need to filter. I cut out and chucked the central vein and cut the rest into smallish pieces popped them in the bag, covered in 12mg/ml and left (lid on) for 2 weeks. It doesn't smell too nice especially during the first few days but vapes just out fine.

I get mine from wholeleaf too, very good baccy. I make a mix of 50% Burley, 25% Nicaraguan filler, 25% Fire cured Virginia which makes a very good steep. I've tried quite a few different ones now and next on the list is the Dark Air Cured Fronto Leaf. I Strip the leaf from any stalk/twig chop finely and put it in the container I will be steeping in, I then warm a little brandy and put that on the tobacco and give it a good mix and leave it overnight before adding the PG next day, I've done the same mixes without the brandy and it really does make a difference in starting to break down the tobacco and adds a slight taste to it too. When I add the PG at first I give it a quick warm in the microwave and then just put it away in a cupboard for 14 days, giving it a good shake/stir everyday. Once it's done I strain it through a kitchen sieve to get rid of the bulk then filter it through some 300 SS mesh placed in the sieve, after that I put it through my home made vacuum filter with standard lab filters. The last part is a pain in the ass but it comes out well in the end.
