Ok well im pretty miffed tbh with ebay and i really would love an answer if someone can please tell me this then id be happy.Prob been answered a million times over but i wanna vent my views.
Why doesnt ebay allow the selling of PV/E-cigs yet i can buy Normal vaporizers for other uses and why is it people can go on there and buy items for drug use?
Why wont they allow the selling of PV/E-Cigs i dont understand it its something whats been miffing me for along time. Why are E-cigs shunned upon on some selling sites yet you can sell vaporizers for other use mainly for the use of cannabis?
It really does wind me up in all honesty.
Why cant you buy ejuice yet you can buy other Juice to make tobacco taste?
Ive been studying things for sale on ebay and theres loads of things what are freely available mainly for the cannabis market but yet cannabis is illegal. So why not allow the selling of ejuice and PV/ecigs.
What a bloody joke ebay are.
Rant over if people feel the same please leave comment below.

Really F&*Ks me off as well. Being a conspiracy theorist, I see the hand of the Government in there somewhere I think they want us to "go away"!!!
EBAY Shouuld get their act together and sort it out!
Did you try contacting them and asking for an explanation?
Later...

Initially eBay did allow e-cigs to be sold. It's where I bought my first e-cig 3 years ago from Pillbox38 - way before Jason Cropper set up Totally Wicked.
EBay banned e-cigs in June 09 due, I believe, to the FDA classifying them as a tobacco product. Hence why a few months down the line I was emailed by their community manager that I had to remove all links to e-cigs in my ebay All about e-cigs group, so moved to this Proboard.

Should just add that eBay do not police the site themselves - apart from picking up key words. So listings get pulled often due to other eBay members reporting them.

All of what Chris said . . . add in PayPal's stance on ecigs.
If you buy ecig goods from the US privately, the sellers are generally, extremely cautious of what is said on PP documentation.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend trying to sell stuff on there 'under the radar' . . . although it does happen, a couple of reports and your account could be in jeopardy, as some members think it their mission to report items.

Perpy's spot on, if eBay radar doesn't pick up anything wrong, there's a darn good chance the eBay unofficial police will find it and hit the 'report' button

Ebay, among others, saw possible trouble down the road, when they were threatened with lawsuits by some antis, who informed them that the FDA had classified e-cigs as drug/devices and therefore were "illegal".
It took a couple of years and a lawsuit by Smoking Everywhere (SE) who were later joined by Sotera (sp) (NJoy), to convince the FDA that e-cigs were a tobacco product and not a drug/device. Still though, I don't believe that eBay allows tobacco to be sold on it's site, therefore e-cigs are banned.
Edit: initially it was that lawsuit that drew me into the forums and now I'm trapped in here and can't find the exit. lol

I recently had a customer questionnaire from eBay asking how they could improve their service.
My answer to one of the questions was; either take some responsibility and police the site properly, or let people sell what they want and continue to be a venue only as you continually state you are whenever there are problems!

Dee, eBay is concerned about lawsuits and violations of the law. Therefore they are very cautious about what they allow to be sold there. Firearms are prohibited as that would violate the laws of many countries, including the U.S. and Nazi memorabilia, on the most part is prohibited as the swastika is banned in Germany.
It's just a good business practice for them.

It just annoys me that they take a stance on certain things, those that are quite easy to police, but leave the users to search out scammers and the like. eBay don't give a flying fig about their customers, but they are all too quick to raise their own profits in any way they can. I've been a seller on eBay for many years and have seen hundreds of changes in that time, not one for the better

On the other hand why should people ban things when they are legal. Ebay sell used knickers for gawds sake! If anything should be banned.....................
