Can someone help me out with a simple mix please? I got myself in a right knot on my first attempt. i have made 5ml of espresso juice 50/50 at 8mg, I wanted 6 mg at 70pg 30vg with a strong flavour. For the 50/50 I used 0.6 ml of 72mg Nic in VG...12 drops 2.25ml PG...45 drops 1.65 ml VG...33 drops 0.5 ml Capella espresso...10 drops. i was wondering that if I made 2ml at 4mg strength and more flavour using 0.1ml 72mg Nic in VG...2 drops 1.5ml PG...30 drops 0.4ml Capella espresso...8 drops, mixed them together would this give me roughly 7ml of 70 PG 30 VG at about 6mg with strong flavour or should I just mix 2ml without any nic? It's a good job I didn't try and make anything adventurous for my first go, I was thinking about it Thank you in advance for any help.

welshwestie if you add no more nic or vg, but put in 1.25ml of PG and 0.75ml of flavour you'll have 7ml of roughly 68/32 6mg juice @ 18% flavour which should be about right I'd have thought

Its a lot easier using dispensing syringes 1ml and 5ml about 60p each at the chemist. Drops come in different sizes so you are never going to be able to replicate a recipe so good using a dropper. It looks like you have aimed at 10% flavouring, Id go with 15%, maybe up-towards 18% for a strong flavour, but no way would I use a dropper, the margin for error knocks the %ages way out.

1st of all you have made 8.64 mg strength.
Total nicotine added is 0.6 x 72 = 43.2 mg. Your total volume is 5ml so 43.2 / 5 = 8.64 mg/ml strength.
Now the PG VG ratio. You have not included your flavouring which is normally PG. You have a total 2.75 PG and total of 2.25ml VG. So ratio is 55 PG to 45 VG. (100/total vol x vol PG) to (100/total vol x vol VG)
In your second suggested mix you have 0.35mg nicotine total in your 2ml Add 5ml + 2ml =7ml. Add nicotine up.. 0.35 + 43.2 = 43.55mg. Divide total nicotine total volume = 43.55 / 7 = 6.22 mg/ml ...close enough.
Now the pg ratio! Total PG = 2.75 + 1.5 + 0.4 = 4.65ml Total VG = 2.25 + 0.1 = 2.35 ratio is 66.4PG to 33.6 VG.
Gosh I like doing things the long way, I am sure there is an easier way with the maths - have not checked all my figures are correct.

Thank you both so much for your help. Oxo I have got some syringes with blunt needles, but with me only trying to mix a small amount I thought in my wisdom that I'd use a dropper. I won't make that mistake again. OneDay, I have done what you suggested. I have put it away for a few days and hopefully it will be good stuff. I'm going to be trying a couple of flavours together next time and work my up to some of the lovely juices others make on here. I expect I'll be asking for a lot more help too . Thank you again, very much appreciated.

I always use drops Westie for anything under 1ml, I work on 30 drops to a ml . . . it's served me well in over 2 years of mixing and I haven't had any disasters yet. You'll find your own way of mixing , do what suits you and gives a good result for your tastes.

Why don't you just vape that as it is welshwestie and start again with a fresh mix at what you really wanted? For that amount of juice made, it's not really worth tying yourself up in knots over . . . imo anyway.

Thank you again, very much appreciated. Some get away with using a dropper but they have a good idea how many drops go into 1ml, this can change by 100% dripping from a dropper bottle with a thin plastic needle compared with the thick bulbous tips designed for inserting into the ear or up the nose. Its not a bad idea to drip into an empty syringe to get an better understanding of how much different tips differ in what they drip. Small mixes need care in measuring out the quantitys, so calibrating the drops is not a bad thing if you want to use that method. If your using 72mg base and you want an accurate 6mg in your juice its not going to happen guessing with drops.

When I'm mixing the 70PG 30VG with 72mg nic and Capella flavouring that is in what I think a water base not VG or PG for a 6mg juice what do I count the flavouring as or have I bought the wrong one? Just if it is water based then will it affect the overall amount of the other ingredients? Simple is my middle name Perpetua. I know what you mean about the drops being measured in different droppers oxo. I have got a few that are all different! I just tried measuring 1ml with 3 different ones and one has come out as quite a bit more than the others.

Your flavourings are most likely to be suspended in PG Westie, so check that box on the Ejuicemeup calculator, those will then be calculated for in your final volumes.

I can't get the Ejuicemeup calculator on my iPad Perpetua so I used another. I've just made another 5ml so fingers crossed. The one I made a mess of earlier is quite nice to be fair. Good throat hit which is what I like so all is not lost. thank you so much.
