Hi Nicky, don't be down about it - I know it's been said before but if you're vaping and not smoking 1 or 2 analogues as a result that's a win and you should congratulate yourself for that not give yourself a hard time for the analogues you have smoked. There's some great advice above, I'd totally agree with the comments about the LR atomisers and cartomisers. Having tried LR cartomisers over the last week I'd say they're well worth a try and give a much better 'hit' than the SR ones. I had a couple of moments when I was away when I was dying for a fag because I wanted the quick hit that's mentioned above. I couldn't because i didn't have any one me so was saved that one and found 5/10 minutes of vaping some decent juice put that feeling to bed. I do think the hit from e-ciggies is very different to analogues, analogues give you a quick hit whereas with e-cigs it's more gradual (and I now find more satisfying). I always wanted more ciggies when I smoked, had one and I'd want another and what saved me from chain smoking at times was the fact (as I mentioned before) that I smoked secretly so couldn't disappear into the garden for hours on end, I guess one of the reasons I've found it so easy to switch is because I can now guiltlessly chain vape when I need to (and when the kids aren't around) and feel a satisfaction that I never got with analogues because I was always left wanting more of them - I guess that was the nature of my addiction! Anyway, as I use these forums I'm discovering that there are plenty of vapers who still have the odd cigarette. Some have given them up totally for sure but there are others who have maybe one on the morning and one in the evening and vape the rest of the day, some go weeks vaping and then have a couple of ciggies just 'coz they fancy it. I guess what I'm saying is it's horses for courses and there's no right or wrong way, just do what feels right for you and don't kick yourself when you do have an analogue just count the ones you haven't had and feel good about that. Doing that and not putting too much pressure on yourself I suspect as the weeks pass you might find things settle down a bit and maybe you'll even find you start vaping more and smoking less Have to ask the question here though, are you still smoking indoors and is your husband still doing the same or have you tried what I suggested and made the house a smoke free vaping zone?

What they said ^^^^ Try a higher nic mg, a LR atty and perhaps a 5v vaping tool. Most of all stop beating yourself up

Thanks guys, i'm not so much beating myself up about it more pissed off with myself really for not having any willpower and saying no to myself, i mean how much more stupid does it get when you have an inhaler in one hand and a fag in the other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rog, to answer your question, we do smoke in the house, and our house is like a meeting place for family and they all smoke too and i haven't the heart to tell them not to smoke here, hubby has been at work all week so i can't blame him as i have been mostly smoking in the day and vapeing at night when he is here so he doesn't know exactly how many i have been smoking!!
At the end of the day it's down to me to do it and find the willpower from somewhere, because i do notice the difference quite quickly healthwise when i haven't smoked much , i think it's my weakness that is the reason i am finding it harder than others.

Relax Nicky, maybe you are putting too much pressure on yourself to stop smoking cigarettes. The fact that you have cut your smoking in half is a great accomplishment. Be happy with that.

Hi there Nicky! goodness me, there's more sensible advice been said than you could shake a stick at.. : )
Just some thoughts- I have no willpower either! I like my nicotine! I also know that I'm definitely not alone on here when I say this. Give us a pound for the amount of times peeps have said 'I have no willpower' and I'd be rich! I never wanted to give up at the beginning cos I just liked me rollies way too much, I just intended to cut down. It just transpired that after a while, and with NO willpower I might add, that I realised that I actually prefered to vape. This was and still is such a revelation to me, perhaps a minor miracle. I just realised that as I was STILL getting my nicotine fix whenever I wanted it, all I had actually ditched was the more serious toxins (ie tar). I still have a rollie once in a blue moon. I think it's just for the sheer devilment of it but the place stinks afterwards and I soon regret it when I realise that I needn't have smoked!
I think as others have suggested that you may like to try upping the nicotine content to see if this makes a difference as it seems like you need a bigger nicotine fix. You've done soo well to cut down in the first place!.
Really hope you come back soon with updates to how well you're doing! xxx
