Well not actually Yew but Beech. Here is my Ver.2 Mod stand. I was lucky to cadge a couple of 40mm. thick beech block worktop off-cuts from a builder installing a kitchen for a neighbour so coupled with some odds and ends from my garage, I thought I would have another play. This is a half sphere of beech wood used to finish off the ends of the handrail that I had left over from a spiral staircase that I had installed....in fact I had 14 of them spare. This is an old 1800 and something hand cranked pillar drill that my brother let me have........weighing in at a good 50 kilograms. After putting a bolt through the Knobs and spinning it in a drill using sandpaper to remove the lacquer, I then drilled 25mm. holes through the centres using the pillar drill Marked out the drilling positions Drilled the holes Gave it several coats of beeswax The two outside Knobs had an extra hole drilled then shaped to take any mech mods with a side firing button. It was back breaking work drilling all the holes out by hand using only the pillar drill but the upside is I have a right arm like Popeye`s

It has a duel use, and can of course be used as a "ladies" mod holder. For anyone seeing anything other than holes in the beechblock.............you have a very dirty mind........though they do look like little iced buns with a cherry on top

Nice work again Greigster. It's amazing what you're able to create from odds and ends.

Loving it Greigster cannot fault it in anyway, stunning piece of craftsmanship and love the way you think ahead with the extra cut out for mech mod button. Brings back a few memories that picture with all the outlines and circles, still remember the one i done where i had all my cartomizers lined up. The only thing i can think of would be to have square feet on it at about half the thickness of the board....saying that your decor looks modern so may some nice polished chrome or brushed steel feet to compliment your decor and gear on the board. Stunning piece of work, well done
