Hello from a newbie and tips please

I have tried to blast them with Menthol, a few weeks back it blew my head off, now I can only just taste it
Hubby ordered some more Menthol and Cherry, they should be here any day now, so am going to vape Menthol for a few days ( Yack ) and see what happens, its really frustrating too, was so enjoying all the flavors. Postman has just been with new juices...so as from tonight will vape menthol
I am looking at the Red Astaire, not sure if it is appealing or not, I know for sure hubby would hate it, anything aniseed has him running for the hills lol.
Has to be the vaping, the pyrex/stainless steel tank to me has a tinny taste, no matter what juice is in it its like licking a penny

This taste thing is so strange and unique to each person.

Try stopping the boiled sweets and/or mints,I found they messed with the buds no end.
Also the odd stinkie here and there is a bit "one step forward,two steps back" for the taste buds...in my limited experience.

I fully sympathize,i know what it is to have a bad flavour week,just nothing works.Persevere.

As for strawberry,LF's Strawberry Milkshake is the only one for me.Tried several others,including LF's Strawberry (VG based).
To me it was a bit like......sorry....cow dung smell..sorry to be gross,yet my OH who is not a strawberry fan,loved it...WTF?

The VV battery will amplify flavour but was occasionally too stingy and sometimes dry and choking so I kept buying the same flaves but dropped nic strength/used more vg based stuff and all is well.

On a different note,if you are not keen on menthol,just today I got LF's XO range VG based Peppermint 18mg.Awesome all day vape and pallete cleanser.
JooseJuices lemon and lime also seem to pierce through when nothing else does,for me anyway.Another all day vape for me.

Been away from the forum for a while, little update.....hubby still hasnt smoked a stinkie still.....he also is going through the bad flavour time....
I am still going through it....all flavours seem weak and nasty tasting, I have been vaping menthol/mint for the most part, still having the odd stinkie, thats the diet too....on the occasions I feel like eating my own weight in chocolate I have a stinkie...my own fault for trying to do both these things at the same time.....
I have a VV battery and really do not notice the change in flavour, yes certainly more vape but not more flavour...I love having the little LCD screen that lets me know how much battery life is left.
How odd that my buds certainly taste any food or drink etc but not the flavours when vaping......
I am going to be looking at lowering the nic strength and uping the VG % and try more, I shall have a look at the lemon and lime on JJ, also the peppermint one on LF, I just want my bubs back so I may taste the flavours that I used to
Hubby now uses the Iclear 16 tanks, he loves them and will only use these now, I have one too, we do notice that they drink the juice but well worth it.

It's one of the main reasons I got into mixing my own Debbie, so I could control how much flavouring I used. I like my flavours strong . . . despite not ( in my mind ) having a problem tasting food.

Whilst I'm not suggesting you go the whole hog, but a couple of bottles of flavouring that compliment the liquid you're using might help pep them up.

Or have you tried any Vendors with an extra flavour option, like:

I have been looking at mixing my own, really seems that will be the way to go, I am not giving in....looking at some flavours to pep up the flavours first, then onto having a go at mixing my own...in the mean time I have ordered from LF, hubby got the Cherry Menthol, I ordered Strawberry Milkshake and Peppermint, both more VG and a lower nic level....all 14...maybe thats it as I have noticed sometimes that they seem strong in throat hit...still no flavour but I can feel it and sometimes makes me choke lol
The next few days will be taken up with looking at a mixing kit etc.....

good on you, deffo the way to go. Why are you going the kit route? It does tend to restrict you slightly, Nic base, PG, VG (cheapest place I've seen is Boots) and your flavour concentrates.
But remember the ready made stuff you have so fallen in love with has been made by experienced folk,so be prepared to have some variance in your homemade.
Above all.. Experiment and always give plenty of steeping time.. ( I know you can zap them, but that's just a shortcut.)

I havent fallen in love with any of late and the ones I did love now taste like a soggy sock, this is the main reason why I am looking at mixing my own....I need some sort of kit to make a start, the bottles etc, I already have some VG, will be hunting down the rest very soon...I am very prepared to have many an odd outcome, most of the flavours I already have taste odd to me
My first port of call is to buy some concentrate to try and boost the ones I own....see how that goes, I need very strong flavours...

Arggg am proper pigged off now......Fantastic speed from LF....I cannot taste any of them ...Hubby and Daughter both can taste each one......Me none of them......How in the world can I taste nothing??? I can smell them no problem ...but not getting any clue as to what flavour they are, just like breathing in...arggggggggg, this has been weeks now, seriously just how??? I have a Cinnamon from JJ coming, I can tell that a juice is Menthol....but not in taste, just the way it hits the back of my throat, everything else is just plain...I now have enough eliquids to last about a year and yet none of them are any use to me, glad the hubby likes most of them, I really do not want to give in but am really struggling to stick to something that gives me no thrill what so ever, when I could taste them I kept strong and it felt worthwhile, now it seems like an utter waste of time and money

I know you weren't keen on the thought of Tjuice's Red Astaire, but it really is a lovely flavoursome vape.

I wonder if you'd like any of these flavourings to either mix from scratch or to pep up some of your existing eliquids.

The Perfumer's Apprentice - Tiramisu ( a really intense ' smoky ' coffee flavour )

I am now going to look at those links and order some really strong flavours, really strong coffee makes me gag but the gingerbread is a deffo for me....plus the Red Astaire ...in for a penny in for a pound lol.

Been on 28 vapes later and ordered some concentrates......Capella Gingerbread, FlavourArt Marzipan, The Perfumer's Apprentice Tiramisu and FlavourArt Cherry Bee. These flavours will ( hopefully ) enhance the flavours of some of my Eliquids...gone for the same flavours or ones that should compliment others....
If the Tiramisu is strong maybe only a drop or 2 will be needed, love Coffee but not the strong ones....the other flavours are making my mouth water...fingers crossed...
Still wondering about the Red Astaire.....but wondering if Black Jack would be a better one ....ohhh decisions decisions....

If you are struggling to taste then T-juices liquids/concentrates might well be for you - I've got about half a dozen of them now and one thing unites them - very, very bold.

Red Astaire has been my ADV for the past fortnight or so - the aniseed is very subtle - the main flavour is berries: blackcurrent and cherry mainly and a touch of menthol - it kind of tastes a bit like a blackcurrent Halls soother with a bit more oomph.

My taste buds can frequently go a bid jaded but I can always taste this.

If you do like aniseed though try their Affo Dizziac - its like an explosion of aniseed with a hint of mint - trust me if you can taste nothing else you will be able to taste this juice lol
