As you are in Worthing I would suggest getting along to the Brighton mini meet where you will get lots of advice and have a chance to try different things out.

It might not be the cheapest way of buying juice but why not try link, get yourself a dripper and at 1ml a sample if you don't like them you are not wasting much. My personal favourite yum

Im in a similar boat to you, I have one juice that I really like. Just because they are more expensive don't expect them to taste better. The ones I have tied that are priced at £13 - £15 for 30ml still taste bad and my expectations of what they should taste like were shattered.
I would mix your own, it is a hell of a lot cheaper. Obviously when your trying to work out what you like just make up 3ml samples till you find out exactly how you want a certain flavour then you can start mixing bigger quantities.
T juice sell the concentrate for there juices in 10ml bottles that you mix yourself, they may be worth looking at.
As for being the same price as stinkies, were you a light smoker? I have spent a lot of money getting set up in vaping but it is still less than analogues.

I smoked no more than ten cigarettes a day, maybe more on a Saturday night. I smoked rolling tobacco which cost around £4. For half decent enough liquid your looking at around £4.50 for 10ml which last around the same time as a pouch of backy, maybe less. That along with batteries, tanks, chargers, etc etc and buying juice i don't end up even liking ....... It gets a bit expensive and frustrating that it's costing me more lol!

Yeah I can see your frustration, but hopefully when you get your combo and set up right you will be sorted.
I only mixed my first batch of testers on Sunday so can't really say much, but it took me about 15 mins to do them and they are left to steep in a cupboard.

Some of my mixes have certainly tasted "unique" Gloves are a really good plan, especially if you are messing around with high nic as in 5.4/7.2% Nicotine does irritate the skin. I premix my base in a big bottle to 0.54% using gloves, but confess that the rest of my mixing I do gloveless. When I have managed to get higher nic on myself, I do notice that my skin gets dry and cracked. Vaping IS far safer than smoking but nicotine should be treated with respect.
