I make juice generally at 20% flavouring, 80% VG. I put it in either an Evod, mini Protank or more recently, my Aurora. The latter produces the strongest flavour, but I can always taste the juice. So either your taste buds are shot after smoking, which can happen, and you could investigate such things as powerful mouthwash, pickled onion crisps or menthol; or like dragon says, your voltage or wattage is too low or high, and you need to have a play around to find what works for you. My OH has post-nasal drip (much mucus) which means most sweet juices to him taste like bland strawberry. But he does get more flavour from nutty or mild tobacco-y juices like Longbottom Leaf and RY4 Nutzilla.

I want to help! Tastebuds are funny things, and everyone seems to be different. Personally I always get significantly less flavour in a BCC. Never heard anyone else say that though ??? I find the iClears give me the most flavour, but again I have read time and again that they give less flavour than most BCCs iClear16s are really cheap at myepack atm. might be worth trying one, if you like it then you could consider the iClear30 which has a bigger tank. What kind of volts are you throwing at this stuff? Different flavours taste more at different power levels, playing with Volts can help you find the sweet spot. I am using a protank 2 so I should not be having any issues seeing as it's so widely used. Regards to the volts, I can't change the voltage on my out and about batteries so it is what ever it feels like! When at home with the vamo I have always found different voltages either give you more vapor or burnt taste when changing voltage. For me it doesn't physically change the quality of the flavour. Usually vape around 3.5-4 depending on ohms, sometimes a lot higher.

Jen is right(Hi btw, we always seem to miss each other atm, every time I check your posts, because think you have disappeared, I realise you are on most days, I just never seem to see you ), Might be worth trying some nutty flavours, they can be really delicious. Tobacco flavours I have less positive experience with, but the T-juice ones are better imo.

Should be brand new by now ;-) I am going to blame it on joosejuice eliquids as I find their flavouring to be very weak. That's taste and smell. I am also going to blame the capella bubblegum as it seems to not be the best.

Strong flavours - Capella Blueberry, I mix it at 20% and it's just a dream as a standalone. CCW Cream, although not a standalone, is a great mixer at about 2-3%. Make a Blueberry Cream Otherwise, try adding some menthol, maybe 1-2% to your juices, it may help lift them that little bit more. Hey dragon - I am around, just been majorly busy recently! x

Not sure if we've actually said hi, Timbo so welcome! I must admit that I find your problem a tricky one to answer. I have had some great tasting juice from Joosejuice, and full of flavour. I also use a variety of different flavourings from different manufacturers in my homemade juices, and can't understand why you aren't getting the flavour through. Could you just run through your vaping gear again for me so I know exactly what you are using? For information, I generally use a Vamo on VW set to about 7.5w with Protanks or the occasional Vivi Nova. I recoil my own heads using 2 or 3mm Ekowool and .2 Kanthal, and aim for around the 2.0ohm mark as I find this gives me a good all-round vape. My own juices are generally around 12mg and I prefer a 50/50 mix with a maximum of 25% flavouring, although that's only for one particular recipe, the others are 20%. You seem to be trying all the right things and I just can't understand why you aren't getting flavour. Can you tell us if there is one juice in particular that you have tried where you DID get full-on flavour? This might help us to work out the missing link. Steeping - check. VV/VW - check. Different ohm heads - check. Different VG/PG ratios - check (I think!). If I was mixing a juice for full flavour I would use 60/40 PG/VG, steep for at least 2 weeks, use up to 20% concentrate, and vape at the wattage mentioned above. If you are doing all this, I'm not sure what else to suggest! Fingers crossed ETA: one other idea has come to me after initial posting - try using a different calculator - the EJuiceMeUp that we mostly all use can be found at the top of each Recipe page, and is quick and logical to use. It might just be that there is a small flaw in the calculator that you use which is throwing the percentages out a bit. Worth a try, plus we all use it so can help you.

Lorann call themselves oils, but mostly they're not. If you want to be sure of using the ones deemed safe, buy them from 28VapesLater, Carrie puts a lot of effort into researching the vape-safe ones. Ditto on Cupcake World (CCW) flavourings. But no, don't vape oil!

Hello chykensa, thank you for your welcoming :-) I am currently using a vamo and two standard ego batteries (think they are called that) Protank mini 2, protank 2 and a ce4 I think from fast tech. I use silica wick, have not tried ekowool but that can't be the issue. Full on flavours I have had in the past are menthol, some Bubblegum including joosejuice, choco delight (lt cigs, very flavoursome from what I remember) The 28vapes site looks great! I will purchase some concentrates from there and play around some more. Thank you everyone for all your tips. P.s ekowool would not make the difference here would it?! As I have loads of silica wick

Timbo - no, Ekowool won't make that much difference. It might be worth giving it a try at some point (flame it with a lighter or better a small blowtorch before working it, it makes it much more rigid and easy to work with), but the silica twisted wick does a great job too. Menthol is a good idea for when you need to 'reset' your tastebuds. It can also be mixed with Blackcurrant for a very acceptable cold remedy vape! (Hall's Mentholyptus). In fact, a mere drop of Menthol can enliven most juices - go to your local chemist and buy a small pot of menthol crystals, pop them in a 30ml bottle, fill up with PG, pop into warm/hot water to help them dissolve, and hey presto!, you have some bangin' Menthol concentrate for a fraction of the price you will pay for it.
