Got my delivery today, many thanks Dee. This should keep me going for a bit. Found this supplier as well that may have what we need in terms of wicking material. It needs a bit of research though. www.cheshireribbon.co.uk/products.asp

Just spoken to them, they've got the sample, so just given them a little nudge to let them know we're in a hurry He should come back to me with prices today, fingers crossed.

silica wick vapes very good Lee. I am trying it just right now on the Iatty. I want to see its behavior in the next 2-3 days but it seems very good for now. The only reason that I didnt use it on Iatty was only because it gave me a strange taste at the beggining but I am sure it was because they store the rope in strange places. I say this because the inner fiber (I bought a very fat rope and I took some fibers from it to make my wick) didnt have a taste at all Silica wick or rope is usually coated in a chemical to allow for easier handling (stops it breaking apart). This burns off, unless you have burnt it off initially (which is probably a good idea), and it would certainly account for that taste.
