I was going to post a thread dose anyone /anywhere repair these things its a lot of money to throw away when they stop working .

I have a Vamo that definitely has something wrong with it. The power cuts out when taking a draw, I thought it could be the batteries but haven't bought any new ones yet to try. What's your diagnosis raid?

Sounds like a short in the head causing it to fail safe.

Have yet to get hold of a schematic for Vamo's so I start at the top and brutalise fault find my way down.

Most common Vamo faults are head grommet then momentary switch.

Although if you are using a protected battery iLardyboy that will usually have the same effect.

Batteries are unprotected, some days it will work ok for a while and other days it just cuts out every time I try it. Really frustrated with it as I've only had it two months.

I would contact the vendor first as it shouldn't be playing up soon. The Sale of goods act protects your rights within the UK. (Usually 14 days to reject an item and up to 12 months for repair/replacement).

I have quite a few batteries, I'm not sure if they are repairable or not though, if not you are more than welcome to them for parts , for some reason, I haven't thrown them away, how about leaky clearo, I have quite a few of them you're welcome to too

I might have to call on your skills, my ex has resoldered my eVic head wires, it comes on now, great until I put a atty on it then it just dies! Ive still got to have a search through my drawer of odd bits for you found one carto so far
