Hey everybody,
I've been off the ciggies for 43 days now (and yes I'm counting), since smoking for the last 33 years. I've already updated from egos and ce4s to ego twists and now a vamo v4 with protanks/mini PTs and evods. I think I'm doing well, but I've had a couple of the silica o rings on the evod bases go now. Maybe I'm over-tightening but I am trying to be more careful. However, I'm down 2 evod bases because of this. Is there somewhere I can buy these silica o rings, or can they be rubber even? Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome peeps. I really must apply some finesse to using these things and thanks for the link I see B&Q sell an assorted set of rubber ones, but I'm suspecting they should be silicone, due to heat maybe?

Welcome to you pxr5. You'll need plumbing grade ' o ' rings if I remember correctly . . . the Pound Shops and Halfords have mixed sets of them, but it's worth taking one in for size otherwise you could buy a box and none of them be right.

Well, thought I'd better follow up on this. I was cleaning out a couple of old, unused CE4s which I had when I started vaping. One had a crack I hadn't noticed and the other had leaked I think. Anyway after I started to rinse (no idea why I was cleaning them anyway lol) I spotted an O-ring, inside on the base. So instead of throwing them away I stripped them both down with a pair of pliers which revealed 2 lots of 2 perfectly fitting, different sized o-rings which went perfectly on the Evods, which are now both fully functioning - woo hoo.
This may seem obvious to some, but I was well chuffed, especially the larger ring, which I'd managed to break on the evods.

It's a slippery slope pxr5, before you know it you'll be collecting, recycling and repairing them for the whole forum! I wish I had read this thread properly, I could have told you that they were in there hiding

Cheers Raid, but I feel sorta good figuring it out myself. Those o-rings are not easy to spot in a CE4 either, especially with my eyesight lol
