Bamboo Wool 1mm. Complete

I have, after some effort, been able to source some 1mm. un-dyed/un-treated Bamboo wool that I have been trying out.
This is very difficult to get here in the UK and postage costs are extortionate from across the pond.

Bamboo wool is a lot more absorbent than Silica and wicks far better than cotton wool.

I have been using the micro-coils with 4 pieces of the bamboo wick threaded through on both my Kayfum 3.1, Taifun GT and the Igo-l with better results than I get from cotton wool along with the benefits of not having to shred the cotton wool and re-adjusting the thickness as the bamboo wool thickness is consistant.

I have available several 5mt. lengths of 1mm. Bamboo wool and I will include 1 micro-coil using .30 Kanthal that measures between 1.5 to 1.8ohms depending on the length of the legs after fitting.

Bamboo wick cannot be dry burned
Ensure coil is fitted and tested before threading the bamboo wick.
Wick can be threaded through coil by using a piece of folded .20 Kanthal in the same way as a needle threader.
Using the thicker .30 Kanthal, the coil is more resilient and only needs the wick removed, dry burnt and fresh wick re-threaded.

Greigster I've not heard of this stuff before. What's the advantage of this over silica?

Hi Martin, Sorry you have not received this yet ???

I really don't like the Royal Mail at the mo. I am sure some of the staff at the sorting offices have a hidden agenda, whether that is for personal gain or for political reasons, I am not sure.
