i keep getting ads at the bottom on my iPhone, and every time i look at a thread i get bugged with the buy the proboards app thing. The ads at the bottom are new recently though.

Does anyone know if I purchase the proboards app if I will be immune to adverts and 5 second waits every time I post?

That might well negate the problem Timbo but I haven't bought it so I can't say for sure. I'm certain one of the mods will have an answer Chrissie?

I think you will find you computer is infected with a trojan or virus. In fact I can 100% hand on heart say this (Im an IT guy its my job lol).

This website does not have adverts thanks to the hard work of the admin and whoever financially contributes to this fantastic forum.

Tone down the accusations and ask nicely then maybe people would advise you on how to fix it.

I use the proboards paid for app that get's rid of the adverts and because of security I run adblock on my PCs.
I understand adverts are the bread and butter of free forums but once they start to go like Facebook and selling out to adverts it alienates users.

Hopefully after enough complaints Proboards will go back to how it was.

Just had a right giggle at some of the comments.....well I'm not in to porn as I get it for real....dirty minded buggers some of you are judging others by your own standards......secondly my partner was head of virgin media i.t department for many years so my laptop is always in tip top condition.....lastly I use my iphone 90% of the time....so it seems its a mobile thing with pro boards.....this is a recent thing that sucks.
Yes in to lazy to boot my laptop up when my phone is always ready to go.

philmepowers as per my reply #11 it is sadly a new way that Proboards are displaying ads via mobiles However, from feedback on Proboards Support, I think they will drop it

I wish we could afford to stay ad free but to do so would cost me about $175 a month & counting

Woooahh calm down lady. No one was accusing you of accessing porn, you can get Trojans/viruses from many places other than porn sites.

jakethevape please read the whole of the thread philmepowers is right, he doesn't have a virus/trojan. I also thought he did so to begin with, but according to Proboards Support it is a new since a coding push
