giving up the stinkies

This is a bit of an ego boosting thread but quite a few people I know don't seem to understand the positives of switching to vaping.

I started vaping about 2 months ago and had initially planned to just cut down on the stinkies but 9 days ago I thought I would see how I could handle giving up on the stinkies.

I really can't believe how easy it has been and I have had the occasional puff on a stinky and have discovered I cannot stand the taste of them. The cig I had yesterday was to remind myself that I do not like them so no point in craving them.

Hope I have posted this in the right place and not wasted space on the forum.

Many people, myself included, accidentally stopped smoking when they discovered vaping bubbleglass

I would have been happy to just cut down on my smokes. Even now I sometimes can't believe that I am an ex smoker

Thats great, you should be chuffed with yourself. I was in the same boat, I thought maybe I could just go down to a few a day, but one day I did not have one at all and never looked back. Onwards and upwards

Well done bubbleglass even when you have been vaping for a while the old nicotine demon still thinks that something is missing ... usually the smell of cigarette smoke. Having that final ciggy and convincing yourself that it is a horrible smelly part of your past life that you no longer need or want is the best way to finally banish the feeling that something is missing.

I still love the smell of cigs but because I know I don't like the taste I am not tempted.

Gave away my baccy to my bf so have made the step to not have one again. Finding it strange not carrying baccy and being a smoker. Feels like something is missing but I'm sure the feeling will past

Well done, bubbleglass, maybe those that don't understand the positives, will be swayed by your fantastic result soon.
Vaping is rather good & I also only took it up to cut down, but waved goodbye to tobacco too & enjoy being a vaping ex smoker.

Congratulations on being an "Ex" and joining the vaping gang! Like you I had a stinky a few days after moving to vaping and hated it. 20 months after switching I can honestly say I have no wish to ever have one again

bubbleglass +1 to what chuck says for me too, i don't even like the smell of them now & i used to think that ex smokers that moaned about cig smoke were just so morngy & even though they had stopped they really wanted a smoke, now i'm exactly the same.

Well done from me too bubbleglass - like you, I started vaping to cut down on the stinkies a bit, and here I am a year later and can't stand the smell! Here's to many more fag-free days to come for us both!
